This strong recommendation is based on high certainty evidence from six randomised controlled trials involving over 6,000 participants with and without known exposure to a person with #COVID19 infection.
The international guideline development panel considers that hydroxychloroquine is no longer a research priority and that resources should be used to evaluate other more promising drugs to prevent #COVID19.

Deliveries for this round of allocations has begun, with India 🇮🇳, Ghana 🇬🇭 & Cote d’Ivoire 🇨🇮 receiving doses of the Serum Institute of India/AstraZeneca #COVID19 vaccine. Both Ghana & Cote d’Ivoire began vaccination campaigns utilising these doses.
