Schools across England are reopening again *today*. No school mask requirements. No school air quality & ventilation guidelines—it is so dangerous that it is “medieval” says Professor @theAliceRoberts.

2) UK 🇬🇧 was sooooo close to #ZeroCovid - just a few weeks more - but all of that is put into jeopardy by lies by the govt and many of its advisors that misleadingly claim kids don’t/barely transmit. Schools can be safe—but only with airborne precautions and ventilation.
3) French data agrees with the UK data above that children are being afflicted by #B117 than before. This also matches data out of Italy 🇮🇹 and Israel 🇮🇱.
4) All these elevated pediatric data are now isolated. We see them across entire countries and multiple countries. Here is #B117 driven #COVID19 surge in children in Italy 🇮🇹...
5) I am referred to no govt mask mandates in primary schools (my quoted tweet was about kids ages 5-12). Some schools have mandates in some parts of the school—but no blanket govt mask mandate for primary schools. And that is what is shameful, on top of no ventilation guidance.
6) And kids viral loads are similar to adults... in fact, kids asymptomatic viral loads even similar to symptomatic. Kids transmit! We need safety precautions.
7) And we know kids are drivers of transmission in households too... a study of 3 million people.

The milk tested negative for antibodies before the mothers were vaccinated, and spiked afterward.”

The pandemic is devastating the world economy—however, good news is US’s Biden stimulus of $1.9 trillion will not only help save US but also help the world. And vaccine rollout is critical.

But how much depends on how fast we all #COVID19 vaccinate.

⚠️HUGE INCREASE IN KIDS—New Swedish 🇸🇪 data showing a sudden dramatic surge in pediatric #COVID19 cases across Sweden since Jan.

Kids age 0-9: Up ⬆️ 123%
Kids age 10-19: Up ⬆️ 72%

Likely due to surging #B117 variant, where it’s now 50% in Stockholm.🧵

2) Is this pediatric surge in #COVID19 a statistical fluke? No. If we just look at the change from late Feb to first week of March, we still see this consistent surge in kids.

Also, @DavidSteadson notes, while many schools were open, high school grades 10-12 closed in person.
3) And where is the proof that #B117 is surging fast in Sweden 🇸🇪? Here on Swedish Public Health Authority’s website. Circled is Stockholm’s 53% #B117 proportion found in week 8 of 2021. Another region has 60%.

This #B117 surge is a real concern.

PFIZER VACCINE & VARIANTS—Pretty good results for virus neutralization. Testing fully Pfizer-vaccinated people’s blood against spike proteins belonging to pseudo virus of variants—solid neutralization results, albeit slightly lower for #B1351 from South Africa 🇿🇦. 🧵#COVID19

MASK BATTLE: anti-mask riders versus @Uber driver Subhakar—he picked up 3 women & after asking one to wear a mask was subject to directed coughing & slurs.

Uber has banned one passenger. SF police investigating.

2) Disgusting part is... @Uber only initially offered the driver $20 to clean his car after one girl pepper sprayed it. $120 still not enough to clear his car in San Francisco.
3) I feel like merely banning the rider’s account is pretty much meaningless slap on the wrist @Uber_Support. Hope they cooperate with SF police.
