After applying for admission, she then applied for embassy appointment without waiting for confirmation of admission.
This is because it takes a long time to get an appointment for visa at the embassy (mainly for category B in Lagos)
Step 3 - Apply for scholarship (if possible)
She found out about the Deutschland scholarship and applied. Fortunately she was granted the scholarship in October – She had a 2:1 and a strong Motivation letter
The scholarship step is important for those who have already started their studies online but still waiting for appointment at the embassy. I suggest to contact the international office of your school for scholarship opportunities
Step 4: Apply for another visa appointment (if you get scholarship)
She reapplied for appointment at the embassy. This time for category A based on the scholarship she just received. She was in doubt if the scholarship was acceptable for CAT A since it was a partial scholarship
She applied anyways. Worst case scenario is for them to send her back at the embassy
Fortunately, she got an appointment for CAT A after 2 weeks of applying in October. Her CAT B application was still pending since april. That is simply the power of scholarship for study visa
Step 5: Fund your blocked account
She did not fund a blocked account & hoped that the scholarship letter would work
However, I recommend to fund your blocked account before going to the embassy except you get full scholarship
Step 6: Go to the embassy (obviously)
On the day of the interview in November, She was not required to pay visa fee since she had a German scholarship.
She was asked to fund the blocked account (minus 300 euro X 12 months scholarship) which was about 6732 euro.
Step 7: Travel to Germany (and bring agege bread for me😄)
She was glad and quickly raised & blocked the money. Her visa came in late December after applying pressure. She arrived in Germany 2-days before Christmas during heavy lockdown in Germany.

Before that, I want to announce: For the 1st time in 5yrs of doing free reviews for people, I received my first payment as a consultant for @HumanSquadCA
I will like to donate it. Check the end of this thread for instructions.
When @TundeTASH asked me to be a gradschool consultant, I had few concerns (didn’t vividly show it) because I am a huge proponent of "do it yourself"
After undertaking few review tasks at Humansquad, I now see many benefits of paid reviews.
These are my reasons:
1.) Getting paid for your hardwork is sweeeeeet and rewarding
I never really worried about payment in the last 5 years of reviewing CVs & Sops for free because I love helping people. It also improved my capacity to review properly because I learned by reviewing more documents
TUITION SCHOLARSHIPS IN SWEDEN AS ALTERNATIVE TO FREE TUITION IN GERMANY
I will cover these topics:
A) Background – why you should consider Tuition scholarships
B) Applying to the University
C) Admission requirements
D) Visa application
E) Possible Scholarships
A) Background
Free tuition = Tuition scholarship for all admitted students
Tuition scholarship = scholarship for selected students based on academic excellence or motivation
So why should you then consider Tuition scholarship in Sweden over Free tuition in Germany?
As you might already know, it is very difficult to get an appointment for study visa in Germany due to high number of applications.
Except you have first class or a scholarship or can speak some German.
