Besides science, my other passion is dance. I trained in ballet for >10yrs and dabble in many styles including latin, bollywood, afro, soca & dancehall to name a few.

I'm also an immigrant #woc hailing from the beautiful country of Guyana! Fun facts:
▶️ 🇬🇾 only english speaking country in South America!
▶️ It has the largest single drop water fall in the world
▶️ It's known for it's El Dorado rum!

As I mentioned in my earlier tweets, I'm an immigrant #woc from Guyana. I immigrated to Canada with my mom and sisters for University. We landed in Canada during a tough winter 🥶, what a way to be welcomed to 🇨🇦
The transition was challenging for me & my family. #VoicesIWS

Many new challenges incl.:
▶️Cold weather (🇬🇾 is at the equator 🥵🌞)
▶️No family/support systems
▶️Starting from scratch
▶️New culture/school/norms
▶️Commute times of 30mins-1hr (commute in 🇬🇾 is 15mins ave.
And MANY others.
