1.On the morning of Wednesday, March 23rd, 1994, at the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem, a Palestinian terrorist had opened fire towards a Victor Lescheber , a security guard in the near by Income Tax authority building.

In 1991 Victor made aliyah to Israel from Russia with his family. They lived in Pisgat Ze'ev. Victor, who was a computer programmer in the USSE, could not find a job due to language difficulties, so he worked as a security guard.

The terrorist shot at Victor at close range, while he was on his way to work, the terrorist then stole his gun and fled.
Victor was seriously injured, and succumbed to his wounds that night at Hadassah Hospital in #Jerusalem

2. In the afternoon hours of March 23rd 2011, an IED planted by a Palestinian terrorist had exploded near a bus station in front of the ICC and CBS buildings in central #Jerusalem .

The attack occurred right after 15:00 (3PM) , as the bus station and the near by kiosk which were between the ICC and the Central Bus Station was packed with people , additionally, there was a bus that was just entering the station.

Minutes before the explosion, the suspicious bag in which the IED was hidden was noticed by the people on the bus station and the owner of the kiosk near by ,which is unironically called “Pitzutz shel kiosk “ (“Explosive Kiosk” in Hebrew) due to a previous attack in the same spot

The kiosk owner David Amuyal managed to call the police hotline right during the bombing, : "Hello Sharon, I'm talking from the kiosk near “Binyanei HaUmma”(local name for the ICC), there is a bag here near the station ..."and a loud explosion is heard in the background

Large number of people were hit with the force of the explosion , including David , which survived a suicide bombing that completely destroyed his kiosk in the same spot in 1994 , only to be lightly wounded in another bombing 17 years later right at the same spot.

At least 70 people were wounded , including Mary Jane Gard a 55 years old British tourist and a 14 Israeli girl in critical condition.

Mary Jane Gardner which was only waiting for a bus , will pass away in a hospital in Jerusalem due to the severity of the wounds received during the explosion just an hour after the attack.

Hodaya Asulin which was only 14 during the attack , will remain in a coma for 6 years and will eventually succumb to wounds in 2017

The attack shocked the Israeli public which only began to reel from decades of non stop suicide bombings by Palestinian terrorists.
On the other hand , it was met with Palestinian celebrations in #Gaza and the #WestBank
