~SIX TIMES HIGHER IN KIDS—An asymptomatic school study of #COVID19 cases found that infection rates in Omaha Nebraska schools were 2.5x higher for staff and **nearly 6x higher for students** than reported through routine self-initiated tests. 🧵

2) “The program also found nearly 10 times the cases per population than what was observed through testing in the surrounding county. The study didn’t review origin, just that teachers and students with COVID-19 that was not previously identified because of limited testing”
3) “The results show "as many as nine in 10 student COVID-19 cases and seven in 10 staff cases might be missed by conventional reporting," Dr. Jana Broadhurst, a corresponding author in the study and an assistant professor at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.”
4) Lot of data elsewhere that kids are responsible for tons of transmission. In Germany and neighboring countries, kids are currently among the highest age groups.
5) Pediatric cases also surged in Sweden.
6) Take a look at which age group surged the most once schools reopened in Quebec. Hint - it was the age group that didn’t mask in schools there.
7) Whenever schools opened... kids and teacher cases increased... and plummeted when schools closed. And surged again when schools opened. Not a coincidence.
8) LET ME BE CLEAR—we need kids back in schools. But we need kids in school SAFELY — even if they don’t get sick — they can transmit between families. To make schools safe, CDC and experts recommends ventilation, but also air cleaners like HEPA filters and UV. Don’t buy ionizers!
9) we know kids transmit, even if they don’t die usually. That is clear. And they get long covid. But wanna know what’s worse than mental health of not going to school? Losing a parent. And kids do bring it home.

2) Keep in mind Delhi has some of the best hospitals in all of India. Most of the hospitals sending Sos and getting in TV are wealthy private hospitals. Public hospitals for the poor... you can imagine.
3) Again, Batra Hospital is one of the premiere private hospitals in Delhi for the rich. Here is the reality for the non-rich... it’s been long over for the public hospitals for the lay public....
