Emerald Fennel of PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN wins #Oscars for Original Screenplay. I had picked her as the runner-up and she definitely deserves this award. Hers was a masterful script of a masterful film which I hope wins Best Picture against odds.

FATHER wins Best Adapted Screenplay at #Oscars which was my pick. It totally deserves it.

Unlike many/most films adopted from plays (including MA RAINEY, FENCES, etc.) FATHER actually works as a movie which is no small feat.

So much love and energy and creative effort goes to every movie. And most people in the movies have to work hard and against all odds to maybe 'make it.' I love every occasion of celebrating them. #Oscars

I was rooting for Riz Ahmed, although Anthony Hopkins was also great. Love Chadwick Boseman and so many of his performances but his role in MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM wasn't developed enough and was excessively theatrical and thus didn't deserve a win IMHO #Oscars
