Why is #Cardano so strong ? A thread to help Ethereum maximalists and others new joiners understand where the value is coming from
πππ
1/n What people fail to understand is that this market is not about utility just yet. What gives a token its value is very simple : the size of its network.
Less than 1% of all #Ethereum addresses have ever interacted with a Smart Contract. Mostly because of fees and 0 utility.
2/n The more people join an ecosystem, the more valuable it becomes because the number of nodes increases.
Think about the network value of a language for example : the more people speak English, Russian or Chinese, the more value the language has. Same applies to crypto.
3/n Nobody is objectively using #Ethereum for DeFi applications. What gives value to networks like #Bitcoin, Ethereum and #Dogecoin is the size of their networks.
If you want to find winners now, find the ones that have the potential to grow FAST.
4/n There is no reason why ADA would grow this muchin price with 0 apps running on it. However, its network is growing faster than any other cryptocurrency out there.
What this is telling you is that the market is rewarding networking growth, not utility (just yet).
5/n The reason #Cardano is able to grow so fast in terms of network is quite obvious :
- People are joining the ecosystem because they believe in the WHY of the protocol : Most are believing in the long term vision and became diamond hand holders.
6/n Crypto is not about the tech. Its about humans, Network of humans. What rallies and gathers people together : values.
#Cardano is unique because of this. It became a religion. Like Bitcoin and Ethereum. You can't stop hope from spreading, and ADA embodies that.
7/n No matter how good the tech/tokenomics/speed of your favourite crypto is, if you have no community nobody will use it.
Fees is a false narrative that people will use to shill their coins, but SOL, MATIC, FTM and many others are already allowing you to trade sub 1ct fee
8/ Ethereum maximalist will tell you that #Cardano has no App running on it. Its true.
But again, Nobody uses DeFi on Ethereum. What maximalist fail to understand however, is that Cardano will have millions of people to hand applications to.
9/n So while Ethereum devs are spending thousands of hours building Killer apps. Let me tell you this : Cardano's community will just copy it and give it to its huge community.
Cardano will build it better, faster, and safer because of its solid foundation (+Haskell)
10/n The market doesn't need 100 copies of uniswap. It needs 1 uniswap with millions of users on it.
So Ethereum maxis, thanks for doing the heavy lifting.
11/n The market is not about utility right now, but it will slowly transition to that.
Matic is allow more and more hodlers to start interacting with protocols, and I urge everyone to start learning about DeFi.
12/n #Cardano is accelerating at an increadible pace. The onboarding of real life people IS a game changer. Ethereum only has 55M active addresses. And Ethiopan university is already 10% of that.
Imagine what scale cardano would achieve with 10 universities, or 10 countries.
13/n Cardano is no about killing Ethereum or Bitcoin. Its about including everyone.
I hope this help you understand what makes Cardano so powerful. In two years time, people will wonder how they miss the Cardano story, it was so obvious.
14/n For those that want to learn more about Cardano, please check out my YT channel youtube.com/c/CrytoJerome :)
Start looking at DeFi. There are some serious gems that will surprise everyone. More on that later.

A thread on why Crypto assets should be seen like brands : How strong are $ADA and $ETH ?
πππππ
1/n I've spent the last two threads saying that the only thing that mattered in the crypto space right now is the ability for an ecosystem to have fast network growth.
The market is rewarding fast growing networks as opposed to tech or utility for now.
2/n Network growth goes hand in hand with brands and user's perception.
The higher the perceived value, the more people will join an ecocystem and the faster it will grow.
