A thread on why Crypto assets should be seen like brands : How strong are $ADA and $ETH ?
👇👇👇👇👇
1/n I've spent the last two threads saying that the only thing that mattered in the crypto space right now is the ability for an ecosystem to have fast network growth.
The market is rewarding fast growing networks as opposed to tech or utility for now.
2/n Network growth goes hand in hand with brands and user's perception.
The higher the perceived value, the more people will join an ecocystem and the faster it will grow.
3/n But what makes you have a high perception of something ? Core Values.
When brands align with your philosophy of life, you rally towards it.
Nike and Apple are prime examples of that.
4/n Nike's mission : "Our mission is what drives us to do everything possible to expand human potential."
Apple's mission : "Apple is dedicated to the empowerment of man—to making personal computing accessible to each and every individual so as to help change the way we think
5/n You're not only buying from Nike or Apple because of their products.
There are better products out there but those brands are conveying something bigger than the product : Lifestyle, Expansion, Growth, Fairness, Equality, Sustainability etc…
6/n Not only do you tend to rally towards a brand that has the same value as you. When you like a brand, you talk about it to your circle.
Humans are social animals, and we will most of the time seek like minded people and communities to interact with.
7/n On rare occasion, brands manage to embrace something unique and meaningful for consumers: Self transcendence, Excellence, Simplicity, Adventure or Hope…
Think of Nike, Hermès, Apple, Ferrari, Redbull or The Red Cross
8/n However, most of the brands will fall under the "replacable category" , people buy products from them, but would easily swap it for something else. (Very High churn rate)
So what are #Cardano and #Ethereum standing for ? How strong are their brands ?
9/n #Cardano : Discipline, Excellence, Compassion, Equality, Fairness, and integrity. Cardano is inspiring on so many levels and its values are crystal clear to me.
Hate/laught at it all you want . Cardano is standing for something worth sharing with our close circles.
10/n #Ethereum stands for.. Utility🤔? The problem with having utility as core value is that its replacable
Technology and utility is by definition something that is constantly challenged. Technology is interchangeable, but core values aren't.
11/n You see people flying over from Ethereum to Cardano, but not from Cardano to Ethereum.
12/n In a sense, I see #Cardano as #Apple , Ferrari or Hermès (ie value driven ecosystems). Where people are genuinly sharing or praising its benefits with other people, which is increasing the speed of visibility and adoption.
13/n On the other hand, I see #Ethereum as #Microsoft : You use the product everyday, but never talk about it in your circle. You use it because you don't have other alternatives and you will never praise the benefits of it.
14/n My prediction is that thanks its core values, $ADA will far outpace other networks in terms of growth (it already is). The branding will snowball into something much bigger than most people think. Cardano is onboarding people from the heart.
15/n What's also interesting is that Cardano is the only player taking this approach of being a value driven cryptocurrency. There isn't one cryptocurrency out there that stands for something as strongly as cardano does. Some might, but $ADA has the best delivery to the market.
16/n In an already crowded Crypto space, I think it will become more and more essential for ecosystems to build and stand for core values and build reputable brands. Technology is not a strong enough incentive to onboard millions of people in a network, but core values are.
17/n In 5, 10, 20 years time, technology and systems will evolve and be replaced, but beliefs and core values won't.
Ecosystems that have core values and stand for something will be the ones standing the test of time, even if they don't have the best products.
18/n Most cryptos are playing the finite game, when #Cardano is playing the infinite game.
19/n 99% of people in the crypto space fail to realize the above. Branding and values is everything. It drives a fast growing network.
End/ Cryptos that are not value driven (EOS, TRON, Tezos, Litecoin …) will survive for a bit if they have utility, but will not sustain the test of time otherwise, because other strong value-driven players will emerge.
Branding is everything
Thanks a lot for reading again :)

Why is #Cardano so strong ? A thread to help Ethereum maximalists and others new joiners understand where the value is coming from
👇👇👇
1/n What people fail to understand is that this market is not about utility just yet. What gives a token its value is very simple : the size of its network.
Less than 1% of all #Ethereum addresses have ever interacted with a Smart Contract. Mostly because of fees and 0 utility.
2/n The more people join an ecosystem, the more valuable it becomes because the number of nodes increases.
Think about the network value of a language for example : the more people speak English, Russian or Chinese, the more value the language has. Same applies to crypto.
