I was informed today that social workers in BC have forced Indigenous children under the age of 10 to have IUDs inserted by doctors.

Within the last decade. Then they failed to ensure these children have follow up care.

#Canada is committing genocide against Indigenous nations.

In what reality does a social worker believe the appropriate response to a nine year old in foster care who is at risk of STATUTORY RAPE is NOT TO PROTECT THEM, but to force that child to be subjected to an IUD insertion?

#Canada. Indigenous children. 21st Century.

HORRIFIC.

If this has happened to you, please consider reporting it to the Representative for Children and Youth in BC.

#Canada has a moral and legal duty to submit to an independent international court for its crimes of #genocide and Constitutionally enshrined #apartheid.

Canada must do this to ensure that #CrimesAgainstHumanity perpetrated by its officials and citizens are tried and punished.

Also, for all the people demanding "sources", I get that people are skeptical.

First, read the National Inquiry into #MMIWG Final Report. An independent commission empowered by #Canada's federal government.

It shows the depravity of #Canada's #genocide.

Second, anyone who has survived foster care horrors is afraid.

Survivors face the probability of their children being kidnapped into foster care as retribution for speaking out.

This is why I won't name anyone without consent. I will try to find safe ways to help them speak.
