LaRue Bratcher is the owner of Premium Smoke, LLC, a marijuana cultivation facility in Southeast Oklahoma City. Bratcher is also a Husband, Father of 5 children, and a 5 year retired veteran of the United States Army. #News#Update#Oklahoma
In the past few weeks, Bratcher has received national attention from civic leaders and news outlets bringing awareness to his case. #News#Update#Oklahoma
The wife of LaRue Bratcher, Vicky Bratcher, along with an attorney representing the family, Clay Curtis recently spoke in an interview with the Black News Channel(BNC) and provided an update on the new developments in the case. #News#Update#Oklahoma
Bratcher’s trial was scheduled to begin on May 24th but has been “continued” by the court and rescheduled for October 11th. Bratcher’s legal team has requested a bond hearing which is set for June 14th. #News#Update#Oklahoma
However, the judge presiding over the bond hearing is Heather Coyle, who originally denied Bratcher’s bond in 2020. #News#Update#Oklahoma
We spoke with Vicky Bratcher, and she explained LaRue is willing to do whatever it takes so he can see his family again, “LaRue has agreed to be on an ankle monitor, on house arrest, those are all the options his defense team is going to present to the court. #News#Oklahoma
LaRue wants to be on house arrest, he is willing to do anything to get out of jail. When he went for his first bond hearing he told the court that he would do anything including house arrests,
so he could be at home with his family, and Judge Coyle still denied his bond because the prosecution alleged he would be a flight risk and a threat to the community.”
Whether or not LaRue will have to wait five extra months for a court to decide if he is guilty or not, all depends on his bond hearing next month. #News#Update#Oklahoma
Denying his bond would be nothing more than another attack against innocent Oklahomans in the corrupt criminal justice system which is known to focus on the criminality of a case before the pursuit of equality and due process under the law. #News#Update#Oklahoma

Some of our information we tweeted earlier today regarding anti-speech bills for the OK 2021 legislative session was incorrect.
We deeply apologize for the mistake, and will do better for our audience & community.
Here is a thread with corrections.
Attention All OKLAHOMANS!
Oklahoma Law-Makers has authored several anti-speech bills for the 2021 session.
Ranging from felony/ 2 yr prison sentences for protesting in public streets , to protection against drivers who hit demonstrators.
HB 1674 would make it illegal for protestors to block traffic, & creates protections for drivers who “unintentionally” hit people while fleeing from a “riot”.
People who block traffic can face 1 yr in prison, & a $5,000 fine.
