Thanks for saying this. I remember getting brutally trolled in December 2020 for critiquing the theory of Mayawati's statues by few militant Ambedkarites. I accept I was ignorant about significance of statue's face diplomacy, but instead of guiding me...I was trolled

Considering how the Indian state has been brahminized by undermining the Ambedkarite voices, I realised Mayawati's step lately. In this thread, I offer constructive outlook on Mayawati's 2022 approaches with a little essence on past and present politics.

Secondly, as a former Hindu (and now a Buddhist), I speak because I care. Lately, I have been observing that BSP is lacking young face to emotionally appeal to the Bahujan society. In comparison with other parties, BSP's major keys has gone to Satish Mishra.

Taking a cue and clue at the crescendo of Hindutva, from nowhere Yogi came and downsized her seats from 100s to 19 in 2017 election. She has been 4 times CM and was a rocking star but as Buddha says 'everything is impermanent'.

SP using MY (Muslim, Yadav) factor has somewhere, without seen knowledge, created a den of what we are seeing today. Mayawati having donated some to RSS in the past is somewhere failing to decode the calculus of Hindutva, which is militant & post-ideological.

To beat Hindutva, which has emerged as a social consciousness and not just mere politics, BSP needs to open its gates with other Bahujan voice than staying conventional. 2022 is last or else no hope, correct me after the 2022 results.

Since 2012, a systematic fall of BSP is seen. I understand that Brahminical media won't write good words about her because a dalit lady is challenging the hegemony. Recently, I saw how old tweets against her came as a good storm.

But that alone would not serve the macro purpose. To beat Hindutva, Buddhism has to be revived in UP. No idea why Mayawati has to wait to become CM & then bring about contextual social revolution. With all due respect to her deeds for Dhamma, today's epoch has changed.

There are few Militant Ambedkarites on twitter who still question my Buddhist background, political orientation, etc. but they should accept me and assimilate if they really care for unification and integration of Bahujan society for all, at large.

Just see how 'love jihad law' discourages mass conversion even into Buddhism. But is BSP having any social or strong political narrative, not just quotes, to debunk Hindutva with Kanshi Ram's dream and Ambedkar's philosophy?

I very much understand that some prefer echo-chamber of BSP voices and I also witness the rise of Azad 'Ravan', especially after Hathras case, but social media activism alone won't revive BSP's new image (if at all) when digital gap in UP is high.

This is not to undermine the BSP workers on ground. I respect their efforts, especially in this pandemic that has taken a heavy toll on many, but Yogi's weakness is endowed in his philosophy, not merely image. Something to preemptively consider

I also see her outreach and advocacy for Brahmin society, for having said (in the past) that Brahmins in UP are exploited a lot, but sadly the structural development of caste-based crimes (NCRB, 2019) says UP is worse for dalit and tribal girls.

Let's fight the idea of hate with the maxims of Buddha. Irrespective of how it sounds, but it's high time to create a new vote bank for BSP through proselytism of Dhamma, just like Dr Ambedkar did, & unsettle/rattle the scores of militant Hindutva
