If we had an adequate media then everytime a minister was interviewed they'd be asked about when the government will finally invest in ventilation.
All the evidence says this is one of the most important measures.
2.Even skeptics are going to struggle to portray clean air as an attack on our freedoms, if anything we have a right to clean air.The impact of pollution on health and in particular on children is clear
Can anyone remember the last time a minister was asked about ventilation?
3. Can anyone ever remember a minister being asked about investing ventilation in the whole pandemic?
UK government's total failure to address this is stark
So is the failure of the media to hold the gov to account for this glaring hole in their Covid strategy.
4. Just look at how close contacts are identified in schools, within 2ms of a positive case for at least half an hour.
If you're 3ms away for 3 hours in an unventilated space then you won't class as a close contact and can stay in school.
5.They spent a fortune on questionable LFDs and not a penny on ventilation. Secondary students were only recommended to wear masks in class for 40 school days during the whole pandemic.
Which countries have had a similar schools strategy?
6. Now details emerge that the LFDs reliability is not just very questionable but so is the companies background and finances.
5. I think I see a simple solution, a tried and proven path to success.
Set up a shell company for a consortium of ventilation companies
Crowd fund a donation via the shell company to the Tory Party
I think the going rate is probably going to be around £100k-£150k
6. Plus maybe another £50k-150k in total to grease the wheels with smaller donations to somewhere between a handful and a dozen MPs, a Secretary of state, few junior ministers and then the CRG/ vocal backbencher
Maybe throw in a few future non jobs as non-exec directors
7. Should be able to get our shell company "VentiCore" anywhere between a few hundred million to a billion pounds that we could distribute to our ventilation companys so our schools and workplaces can finally have appropriate safety measures

I assume that's when the over 50s have been double dosed.
It also means schools will be about to break up, and although the gov pretends otherwise they know schools are acting as Delta hubs.
3/ Been saying for a while I think the government believes the quickest route to herd immunity with what they consider an acceptable death and health toll is
2 jab over 50s
1 jab 18-50s
Natural infection for under 18s
Its a gamble based on impatience and pandering to lobbyists
Reading back through my original thread when they announced mass testing, I got sent the link to the Heads test and trace briefing on last day of term, only around 500 attended, most were probably too busy notifying close contacts.
1/🧵@MattHancock just now in the Commons
Secondary students are seeing largest rise of Delta cases.
Children are much less likely to be harmed but they are "more transmissible"
Then he twice ignored questions about why masks have been removed in secondary
3/ Which is a bit odd seeing as I've been fed a daily diet of being told that there's no sign of meaningful transmission in schools and that children hardly transmit
Media have found lots of experts and pediatrics quite certain theres nothing to see here
🧵Somehow in the UK we have a narrative that vaccines and masks are important for everyone except children.
Every hour experts and gov advisors are in the media claiming school arent really contributing to infection rates and arent driving Delta growth
How can children not be impacting infection rates when so many are being infected?
If over 40% of cases in my LA are in schools, how is that not significant? Local PH director says it is, PHE report says it is,yet PHE blog disagrees with own report? vip.politicsmeanspolitics.com/2021/06/05/bor…
3/ UK reports find infections high in children, other countries look at UK data as sign of the impact of schools on transmission, yet the reporting of these studies and data seems to completely minimise children's role in transmission.
