People ♥️ their doctors, not their insurance companies. #MedicareForAll eliminates the barriers insurance companies put up between you and the doctors you ♥️ and the care you need.
"bUt HOw WiLL wE Pay FOr iT?🙃 #MedicareForAll would save $450 billion per year compared to our current healthcare system and $600 billion per year compared to the Public Option.
The Public Option would still leave tens of millions uninsured and just providing "access to affordable healthcare," means cost will still be an issue for too many.
Where do these #MedicareForAll myths come from?
🥁🥁🥁
Insurance, medical & pharmaceutical lobbyists and centrist think tanks like Third Way (which my opponent, Rep. Tom Suozzi is an honorary co-chair). They spread misinformation so voters will vote against their best interests.
The Venn Diagram of politicians opposing #MedicareForAll and those funded by the insurance, medical and pharmaceutical industries looks like a single, perfect ⭕️
There's no big mystery as to why members of Congress oppose #M4A — they're paid to.
My opponent has taken over $300k from insurance, medical and pharmaceutical corporate PACs in the last 2 cycles and is adamantly against #M4A
I'm rejecting corporate PAC money and will fight for #MedicareForAll

Twas the night before Christmas
When all through the White House
All the grifters were stirring
expecting pardons from the louse.
Covid relief
Hung in the balance without care
With hopes of $2000 checks
vanishing into thin air.

Children nestled everywhere
Still some with beds
While the realities of eviction
Danced in parents' heads.
Melania in her kerchief
And Trump in a stupid red cap
Still planning to override
The 2020 electoral map.

When out on their roof
There arose such a clatter.
They sprang from their separate beds
To see what was the matter.
Away to the window
Away from their bedding
To see *dozens* of maskless MAGAs
Joyfully super-spreading.
Centrist Dems vote to protect the profits of their corporate donors.

My opponent, @RepTomSuozzi is vice-chair of the Problem Solvers Caucus, a group of Centrist Democrats & Republicans, funded by GOP billionaires and dark money groups like No Labels, that tout working across the aisle as a way to solve problems.
#M4A:
✅ Covers everyone, no exceptions
✅ Includes vision, dental, hearing aids, mental illness & long-term care
✅ $0 premiums, deductibles and co-pays
✅ You see the doctors and hospitals you choose to see

Public Option = our current system + option to buy into a Medicare-like plan
The Medicare option would mimic traditional Medicare w/ premiums, deductibles & coinsurance. This is an improvement over our current system, but doesn't come close to the care you'd receive w/ #M4A

The Public Option doesn’t reduce costs because it doesn't create enough leveraging power or eliminate the administration overhead to drive down prices—it only gives you access to buy a plan.
If healthcare isn't financially accessible, then it's not accessible.
We assume NY is progressive because it's Blue, but we're represented by Reps that oppose progressive policies that are overwhelmingly supported. ( @DataProgress )
With the exception of @AOC, NY Reps survive by their corporate donors pumping $millions into their campaigns to push policies benefiting the super-rich at the expense of hard working NYers.
💰That's why 70% of NYers support corruption reforms.
We need to break the false narratives from corporate-funded think tanks & politicians that the solutions we need are "impractical," when they are absolutely feasible, necessary & popular. They are prioritizing donations over the wellbeing of people.
Lost in this disturbing video is the troubling answer Rep. Tom Suozzi gave around receiving donations from the same corporations he regulates through his seat on the House Ways & Means committee.
🥊Spoiler Alert: The only person he fights for is himself.
This hypocrisy is egregious. The End Citizens United Action Fund is a DCCC fundraising PAC. Endorsing corporate-financed Reps makes a mockery of the real work that @WolfPAChq and @MoveToAmend actually do to end the corporate corruption that’s broken our government.
I’m not sure how a politician who’s taken over a million dollars from corporate and Super PACs in just the last 2 election cycles is graded an A, when that grade and the premise of the organization is based on rejecting corporate money.
It’s not just that Tom funds his campaign with corporate money, it’s that his policies and votes repeatedly benefit his corporate donors, who in turn, give him more money.
