This hypocrisy is egregious. The End Citizens United Action Fund is a DCCC fundraising PAC. Endorsing corporate-financed Reps makes a mockery of the real work that @WolfPAChq and @MoveToAmend actually do to end the corporate corruption that’s broken our government.

I’m not sure how a politician who’s taken over a million dollars from corporate and Super PACs in just the last 2 election cycles is graded an A, when that grade and the premise of the organization is based on rejecting corporate money.

It’s not just that Tom funds his campaign with corporate money, it’s that his policies and votes repeatedly benefit his corporate donors, who in turn, give him more money.

Tom took at least $87k from military contractors that profit from his military funding votes. And at least $66k from companies that profited off his vote to expand the detention centers.

Tom received at least $126k from health care industries and refuses to support any plan that would negatively impact their profits, like #MedicareForAll — which is overwhelmingly popular. Instead he supports plans that keep costs high for individuals.

Tom was also one of the few Democrats to break with the party and support the repeal of Dodd Frank, and continues his efforts to weaken banking regulations. He’s putting our financial security at risk for the over $91k he received from Wall St.

I proposed the #PAIDBYAct specifically because I saw that my Congressman Tom Suozzi repeatedly puts his corporate campaign contributions ahead of his constituents’ best interests.

Corporate influence is the #1 cause of legislated wealth inequality, our climate and healthcare crisis and our forever wars. This endorsement is dangerous and purposely designed to mislead voters into voting against their best interests and perpetuating the status quo.

Empty lip-service on corporate influence does nothing to solve our climate, housing and healthcare crises, or close the camps at the border. If my opponent was truly serious about ending Citizens United, then he should walk the walk.
