#BREAKING: #MadrasHighCourt grants stay of single-judge order wherein adverse remarks were made against Kollywood actor Vijay and wherein Rs 1 lakh costs were imposed over his 2012 plea to restrain payment of entry tax for imported Rolls Royce car.
Stay order was granted by #MadrasHighCourt Division Bench after taking on record submission by Vijay's counsel that the actor is willing to pay remaining 80% of entry tax within a week after demand is raised by authority.
In his appeal, grievance raised by Vijay is wrt adverse comments made by Single Judge, imposition of costs. HC was told that: 1. No such observations were made in other similar cases 2. No such observations were made in open court and that they were only added to written judgment
