MPDC Officer Michael Fanone is one of the most courageous, outspoken LEO survivors of YOUR f**king terrorist attack on the seat of the US government.

(2) All four LEOs who testified on day one of the #Jan6Committee hearings are absolute American heroes, but especially Fanone, given the serious injuries that affect him to this day.

Y'all were treating PTSD as real in 2016. Now you mock it.

(3) The number of LEOs (from multiple agencies) who acted to save lives that day & acquired the workplace mental injury known as PTSD is likely in the hundreds.

Many of the civilians such as office workers, janitors, & catering staff acquired it, too.

They are crime victims.

(4) The non-politicians in the complex that day had to shelter in place behind the locked doors of Congressional office suites. While hearing the violence not far away and hoping those doors weren't bashed open with the many weapons the rioters stole from police and others.

(5) Nancy Pelosi doesn't have the power to turn down a supposed "offer" of DC National Guard troops. Only the sitting POTUS has that power. He didn't offer them to Pelosi or anyone. He made sure they weren't there ready in case trouble started & that they took >4 hours to arrive.

(6) Trumpers who believe the (really obvious) Republican lies about 1/6 without doing your own fact checking are no better than people who believe CNN in the same manner.

(7) I think y'all are cowards. You don't want to face up to what your Dear Leader and his henchmen did and are still doing. Their lies are costing lives.

611,791 Covid deaths. What proportion could have been prevented? We'll never know.

Multiple 1/6 related LEO suicides.

(8) PTSD kills. I have lost several friends or kids of friends to suicide, and have experienced severe enough PTSD symptoms myself to consider seeking the ultimate relief from them. Thank God, the universe, and everything that I was helped, by others. I am 100% free of that now.

(9) PTSD (and other brain disorders that are no fault of the sufferer) can be life-threatening.

I have written here about several military and first responder suicides long before 1/6.

These kind of workers are at higher than average risk.

(10) While empathy-challenged individuals like far right provocateur Dinesh D'Souza openly laugh on camera about the workplace injuries these 4 LEOs experienced and still experience, I see the pain in their eyes and hear it in their voices. As do others capable of basic empathy.

(11) I will conclude by commenting on the vile pattern in the conspiracy theorist community of claiming that when a photo of a person looks (to them) vaguely similar to another person, it must be the same person.

JFK Jr, Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama, and many other examples.

(12) When you do this you demonstrate to the world how dumb & anti-human you are.

Long after the current crisis in American democracy is resolved, conspiracy theorists will be spreading this same kind of garbage. To fellow humane people I suggest learning about the phenomenon.

(13) We are stuck with conspiracy theorists, anti-vaxxers, dominionists, and paramilitary groups forever. So we better learn how to counter them and prevent them killing more people, as much as we are able.

The pandemic has 3-4 more years to run, if all goes well.

(14) I am "on a war footing" psychologically and more or less have been since mid January 2020 when I heard about Covid19.

The #GreatestGeneration aka WWII folk are my role model, especially from the UK and other countries that were occupied or at imminent risk of invasion.

(15) Like the majority of Americans, I actually do #BackTheBlue and the military, and when innocent public servants like Michael Fanone are slandered, damn right I will speak up.
