The Liberals are scamming disabled folx on twitter & Canadians deserve to know 🚨
I knew there was something up with this organization after I had to correct them yesterday in a post. Their entire organization, including their website is based on a Liberal lie. 1/
It's definitely a power move to write someone's full name 3 times in a tweet going off about things no one ever even implied without tagging them when you are mutual followers.
This isn't the 1st time she has done this, and it won't be the last.
It's really unfortunate.
I don't know if it's that they are pissed that someone else has talked to MPs on this issue, or that others have passionate opinions on this issue
Either way, no one should be acting this immature about *checks notes* someone giving info they've recieve from official sources.
It angers me the Conservatives are using the MAID expansion (ability for those solely with mental health issues to use it by 2023) to boost their campaign.
CPC are against it due to religious motives against MAID as a whole, not bc it's a human rights issue. 1/ #MAID#cdnpoli
An example of this would be Erin O'Toole's saying doctors should be able to turn down a suffering patient when they request MAID.
If they truely viewed MAID as a human right, they wouldn't be trying to allow it to be denied it to a suffering patient. globalnews.ca/news/8124803/e… 2/
If the Conservatives viewed the MAID amendments as a human rights issue instead of MAID as a religious issue, they'd have plans to lessen suffering by bring disabled folx out of legislated poverty.
Reality? They only plan to help working disabled folx.
Sarah Jamma, a black disabled activist I admire deeply, revealed yesterday that @Disability_WP is an astroturf lead by non-disabled Liberal cronies of Carla Qualtrough.
Her accounts on social media are now gone. I'm unsure if she deleted them herself, or if they got removed. 1/
Whatever the case, we need to be in solidarity with Sarah Jamma. She courageously blew the whistle yesterday & we owe it to her to defend her at all costs. (Not just for yesterday, but for all of her work as well.)
Being intersectional, she's more at risk for hate & bigotry. 2/
This also highlights how scary it is to whistle-blow on the government, especially for an intersectional person.
I respect Sarah so much for doing this. We not only need to thank her if she comes back, we need to defend her brave actions in her absence. 3/3
