THREAD: Professor Truschke & the "South Asia Scholars" actively erase Kashmiri Hindus in their Hinduphobic "field manual" while denying #Hinduphobia & gaslighting Hindus. Their latest definition of "Kashmir" is a great example & also shows their blatant political agenda. 1/n

"Kashmir" is projected as an "Indian occupied" colonized land by falsely applying the colonial settler argument to Hindus & Indians. Arguments of plebiscite are selectively applied to India while ignoring what the UN actually said & what Pak rejected - indiatimes.com/news/did-you-k… 2/n

Kashmir's indigenous Hindu/Buddhist/Sikh history is completely erased, reset to the events around 1947, to portray India & Hindus as the oppressors while omitting the long & historical contributions of these indigenous religions to Kashmir (named after Hindu Goddess Sharada). 3/n

The narrative also erases the violent ethnic cleansing of Hindus from the Kashmir Valley, along with historical atrocities against minorities (including Sikhs, LGBTQ, Dalits) and women, prior to changes introduced via Abrogation of Article 370. cohna.org/a-win-for-prog… 4/n

The "Learn More" link under "Kashmir" takes a reader to the website of a group known as Stand with Kashmir, which has openly glorified terror outfits such as Hizbul Mujahideen that have killed hundreds of Hindus and Sikhs in broad daylight. theprint.in/opinion/stand-… 5/n

Prof Truschke staunchly supports SWK and has also invited Prof Hafsa Kanjwal, the co-founder of SWK, to her class in Spring of 2021. Rubber stamping hate against Hindus and Indians is thus a regular routine for such "South Asian Scholars." 6/n

This also becomes important, given the recently concluded @dghconference, which enjoyed open endorsement & constant commentary from Prof Truschke. Not to mention, @themodsisyphus & Prof Rohit Chopra, (who are part of SASAC along w/ Prof Truschke) spoke at the DGHC. 7/n

During @dghconference @themodsisyphus falsely equated the Hindu festival of Durgashtami with "caste opression" to advance #Hinduphobia and bigotry. This video by @hinduoncampus illustrates the hate.

SASAC has also wholeheartedly endorsed @dghconference, thereby endorsing open hatred against and calls for dismantling Hinduism. Thus, SASAC's new politically laced definition of "Kashmir" is just the latest addition to their Hinduphobic narratives. 9/n

SASAC's constant claim that "Hindutva" is not Hinduism falls flat yet again, as several speakers at @dghconference openly equated "Hindutva" and Hinduism and thus called for dismantling Hinduism. 10/n
