So. Once when I was small kid, came back from hostel and late at night
I asked my mom to cook my favorite chilli paneer and fried rice among many things
She prepared it all and it was almost mid night and I was the only one there to eat food,
Like a hungry bear, I ate it all

My mom meekly asked me how was the food and if I liked it
I said it was "ok"
My mom gave me a lecture which I never forgot in life
She told me, whenever someone does something for u, never take it for granted, a little praise

It makes a world of a difference to the cook, be it ur mom or ur future wife or any chef in a restaurant.
After that day, for every meal I have always praised the cooking skills of anyone who cooked for me,

But I see their Eagerness to cook new unique dishes just for me
Just for praise, my hostel mess cook used to cook special egg curry for me.
I quickly realized, people crave so much for praise

Being a quick learner, I expanded my scope of praise to other areas like something my colleagues has done exceptional.
In my office, I am known for writing appreciation mails and tagging all chain of command of the employee being praised.

On Twitter also u will see me Praising people all the time.
My praise might look exaggerated but its always genuine compliment.
It helped me make such amazing friends which was unthinkable for an introvert like me.

so literally there is no competition for me
