How do you make a VARIANT of #Covid19 to defeat all VACCINES and take us back to SQUARE ONE?

This is the question I'll answer for you below. I used to be a viral research chemist working on AZT, so I think I'm qualified

So let's now play at being Ernst Stavro Blofeld together:

STEP ONE - PETRI DISHES

Create vaccines that require multiple doses* in order to be effective

HOW DOES THIS HELP EVIL?

It ensures the population is in variable states of vaccination, mixing resistant and less resistant together. They are the feed for our EVIL petri dishes.

STEP TWO - PROPAGANDA

Do everything you can to propagate fear of the vaccine, and any other protective measures that might slow virus spread. Call this "FREEDOM"

HOW DOES THIS HELP EVIL?

Ensures a significant population is completely unvaccinated AND unprotected.

STEP THREE - MIS-HEARD IMMUNITY

Act as if your strategy is vaccinated herd immunity while you know you have many opt outs AND while 15%** (kids) are unprotected.

HOW DOES THIS HELP EVIL?

Guarantees no vaccinated herd immunity. And makes sure no other protections slow you down.

STEP FOUR - PERFECT CONDITIONS

You've now created the ideal conditions for a rogue variant

HOW DOES THIS HELP EVIL?

Compare UK to, say, an unvaccinated African country. UK has a funnel to select for variants that will survive against the vaccine. The African country does not.

STEP FIVE - BE INCONSISTENT

Tell the population the virus is defeated and all social distancing can go. Then reverse. Then say it again. Then do that twice more.

HOW DOES THIS HELP EVIL?

Everyone is CONFUSED. Optimises mixing between vaccinated and unvaccinated populations

STEP SIX - BEAT THE SINGLES

Just wait.
- For a while the virus will circulate in the antivax community and in children
- It will try to jump to fully vaccinated and almost always fail
- 'Luckily' we have a single dose, less vaccinated population, that's the easy step.

- soon one variant will be produced. It could be just one virus among billions, but this one virus will jump from one unvaccinated individual into one of our single dose population.

- It will be able to replicate.

- the 'single doser' victim will have an inbuilt selection process for that variant BECAUASE they are PARTIALLY vaccinated

- most of its replications will fail. But any that survive will be selected to be of a type that is already close to defeating a fully vaccinated person

STEP SEVEN - MR BOND I HAVE YOU NOW

As Blofeld, all you need to do is wait.

HOW DOES THIS HELP EVIL?

- the variant that survives against single doses is now spreading there.

- BUT ALSO just like DELTA it's become the majority virus in the unvaccinated - it survives better.

- just like before, eventually one variant in one person will be produced. That variant will survive in a fully vaccinated individual.

- and then it will spread.

- well done if you've removed all other anti virus safety measures. You've made it MUCH easier for it to spread.

BINGO

Now we have a variant of #Covid19
- that beats our vaccines
- against which we are not prepared
- and have no other mechanisms in place to slow

Feel free to critique this scenario. Though it's played out as a fictional plan from an evil genius, it is nonetheless a reasonable representation of a negligent UK Government.

An unreasonable, politically arrogant soon to be notorious, Government.

UK is in a unique position to create this world-beating variant, 'better' than any other country.

- large vaccinated, semi vaccinated and unvaccinated communities
- arrogant dismissal of all other anti vaccine protections
- mixing of populations to "filter" a resistant variant

No scientist would ever take the risks we are taking.

And no scientist of any credence in this field could be unaware of the real selection processes that I've deliberately dumbed down for this thread.

Therefore the Government must be doing this while ignoring real advice.

* obviously no one developed our vaccines that way intentionally so they could be undermined.

It's merely a happy accident for our fictional Blofeld to exploit

** Yes, SOME kids are being vaccinated. But nowhere near the levels needed to make the Government strategy viable***

This question alone requires a whole thread to answer. For now all I'm saying here is, don't have a strategy that relies on a condition you know you will not meet.

That condition is the minimum vaccinated population for viable herd immunity.

If you're unlucky your country has a viable genetic analysis base. There are a bunch of ways you can undermine this, such as firing it leaders early in the pandemic.

Best thing though - mess up testing then do nothing about it⏬

Your evil strategy needs a large unvaccinated population AND single vaxed individuals.

It's harder to get people to stop once started - so make sure late into the pandemic you're doing all you can to feed the anti-vax movement.
