The protest in Addis to support regime that is blockading its own people, refusing cash, food & medicine to Tigray ( US & UN confirmed this claim of blockade) will have an appreciable effect only in supporting Abiy in some areas of #Ethiopia. #Thread

The protest shows that Abiy has some support among some segments of Ethiopian population, such as Amhara. The protest, however, will not defend Abiy Admin against forces fighting for self-determination & refusing to bow to centralized dictatorship. ENDF lost the war to TPLF/TDF
The same thing happened in Somali region in 1977, when Somalis defeated ENDF to allow Somalis to exercise the right to self-determination. #Ethiopia was able to regain #Somalia west/“ eastern Ethiopia” with help of Russian & Cuban forces. There are no Russian & Cuban forces now
This means that #Ethiopia on its own is not match for forces fighting for self-determination be it Tigrayans, Somalis, Oromos and Afars. It can do so, however, with help of outside forces for decades or so. Somalis in Ethiopia for now have chosen to bow to Abiy and his allies.

It appears #Ethiopia government, consistent with tripartite agreement, to establish centralized powers in Horn, helped arrest Robow in Baidoa & attempted to arrest Madoobe in Kismayo, the latter failed, risking confrontation between #Kenya & Ethiopia in #Somalia

Commentator on drones reported: drones imported by Somali MP bear strong resemblance, judging from the pictures, to this: the Mugin 3600VTOL (3600mm wing diameter).

Reports from #Mogadishu indicate drones were six. The manufacturer claims that each drone costs $7,000.

The total amount of the drones would cost at $42,000. Add the cost of delivery and assembling, cost will reach minimum at $50k.

- Two Turkish nationals were with the drones; it is reasonable to assume, as some have reported, that they were hired to assemble them.

If so, add this to the cost, tickets, accommodation, services & training: around $60k #Somalia

- I hired Ikran Farah in April, 2017 as an agent in my office; later I appointed her to Human rights and Gender of NISA.
- former Deputy NISA, Guled, also confirms Ikran being NISA agent,

- Speaking to VOA Somali, former NISA deputy, Abdisalam Guled, supports that Ikran Farah was picked up from green zone, suggesting government involvement. The area refered to is between Global Hotel & KM O, NISA HQ in Shibis, northern #Mogadishu, or Ex- Mama khadijo Ali Mahdi HQ
A curios question is: was Ikran Farah working for NISA since 2017, or did she leave the agency while she was the director of the Mayor of #Mogadishu’ office & then returned to it, or did she remain as NISA agent while she was the director of the mayor’s office, prior to his death

A father of slain soldier who spoke to VOA avails evidence for #Somali troops taken to #Eritrea for training were deployed in #Tigray

- The father who is also Somali soldier said his son, killed by friends he recently made, was among soldiers 1/3

It is true: he was among soldiers presented by #Puntland.
The father also reported that his son told him while in Tigray: he finished training 19 months ago

_ Her daughter Ikran Tahlil Farah left her house on 6/26, at 8:03 PM, #Mogadishu. She is missing.
- Linkedin has a profile with similar name. Jobs held include: executive secretary of NISA, and Chief Staff of Mogadishu of assassinated Mayor Yarisow
Mother suspects NISA abduction.
- It is not clear why the missing woman chose to identify her former employer of 10 months, NISA. Doing so, while in Mogadishu suggests taking unnecessary major risks
- Is there any links to the un-explained assassination of Eng Yarisow? #NISA
One un-verified claim @AhmedAbdullahi_ is that she has information pertaining to a female suicide bomber said to have killed her late boss, Eng Yariisow.
- The female suicide bomber was pictured with President Farmaajo

AG main findings
- Reports are in the linked tweet
- only 35 ministry department and agencies( MDAs) were audited due to covid19
- about 20 of these did not submit reports ( accounts) pertaining to how they used the money that was given to them 2019, in violation of article 41
- The accountant general, AC, was expected by default to prepare how budgeted money was used by relevent ministries and agencies
- The AC has failed to discharge assigned duties, second tier failure to hold relevent entities to account.
AD recommends AC to do his job #Somalia
+12 million dollars was paid to ministries & agencies without filing how the money was used:
- No receipt, invoice, ticket for travel,

-They were money given after supporting documents submitted; however, such doc was not stamped with PAID allowing to be reused to collect money
