NSA Sullivan: Russian gas isn't flow through Nord Stream 2. If Vladimir Putin wants to see gas flow through that pipeline, he may not want to risk it by invading Ukraine. Biden spoke with European allies after the call with #Russia's Putin, and they are "in lockstep" on #Ukraine.
Besides stiff economic #sanctions, Sullivan said US would provide more defensive material to Ukraine & would fortify @NATO’s eastern flank allies with additional capabilities, if #Russia were to further invade #Ukraine.
🙄Predictably Russia’s readout of Biden-Putin call is full of propaganda, claiming absurdly that #Ukraine is in “internal crisis”making “provocative” moves. More absurdly, Putin claims NATO is trying to conquer Ukrainian territory. Russia literally stole Crimea & occupies Donbas.

I've always found Putin's "one people" argument incoherent in an abusive husband kind of way: Ukrainians & Russians are one people, have shared history, language & culture. Therefore, #Russia will invade #Ukraine, kill more "brothers & sisters", proving Russia really cares??🤔

Trump admits that he knew—at the time—that the angry mob he directed to go to the Capitol to fight were hunting to kill Mike Pence in the Capitol. And Trump defends it—on tape: "Well, the people were very angry"
Trump's all-consuming self-promoting depravity is shocking tho not surprising.

Also pretty shocking: Trump admits in @JonKarl audio that what he wanted Pence to do on Jan6—what he directed his angry mob to get Pence to do on 1/6—was only 50/50 legal, according to HIS own lawyers
@jonkarl Trump's "50/50" remark shows he knew his harebrained coup using Pence to stop Biden's election certification—cementing his loss—was unconstitutional. His own kraken "constitutional scholars" told him 50/50. Yet he sicced a violent mob on lawmakers anyway. And watched it on TV.

Democrats don't have a branding problem in rural America. They have a GOP media monopoly problem. The key fact in this story: white rural voters are fueled by a conservative media bubble that speaks in apocalyptic terms, convincing ppl that America's on the brink b/c of Dems.
Democrats can have the best branding, but if voters only consume right-wing radio & TV, right-wing propagandists are defining Dems. Dems' message can't reach voters living in GOP propaganda media bubble. That's what's gotten progressively worse. We're seeing it in these numbers.
Right-wing media is a drumbeat of demonization & disinformation. Have you listened to talk radio lately?? It's North Korea level crazy assaulting ppl's brains w/ fear & anxiety. Ds & sane Rs should join forces, buy radio stations, launch news channels in those media markets. BUT

🤨#Durham's indictment of #Danchenko on 5 counts of lying to the FBI suggests in ¶5 that both Crossfire Hurricane & the Mueller probe "relied substantially" on the Steele Dossier ("Company Report"). But really this is only about the Carter Page FISAs. Don't write like this, kids.
Still reading Danchenko indictment, but this early sentence in ¶5 seems to confirm Durham's political mission to nip at the edges to create the FALSE impression that Mueller's Russia investigation is discredited. I mean "In connection with" is doing a whole lotta BS work here imo
ICYMI The Mueller report debunked the Steele dossier. How do you "substantially rely on" something you debunk? You don't. But Durham's indictment of Danchenko tosses it in anyway, w/ a specious reference to the Special Counsel's Russia investigation. Argh. apnews.com/article/techno…
