#CGTNFirstVoice: In this age of partisan paralysis, a bill that bans all imports from #Xinjiang has passed the Congress. Facts no longer matter. Sticking up for #China in the current political environment is political suicide. news.cgtn.com/news/2021-12-1…
China was not always a "bad guy" in the U.S. imagination. That changed when the U.S. was in a mess. Hating China became "good politics." Blaming the outsider has been a winning political tactic since the dawn of history.
No firm doing business in Xinjiang has ever witnessed forced labor. Yet, a number of them have pulled back in response to U.S. pressure. There have been no credible allegations at all of the forced labor in Xinjiang, let alone proof of genocide, another favorite U.S. smear.

Former U.S. Army officer Ian Fishback, who was named one of the world's 100 most influential figures by @TIME in 2006, was found dead last month at 42. How did this hero end up in such a tragic plight? bit.ly/3dVSVwN
In 2005, Fishback exposed the systematic #abuse of detainees in #Iraq by U.S. troops. His persistent advocacy led to the passage of groundbreaking anti-torture legislation. Then, after being deemed a national hero, he was discredited by his own military unit.
Major U.S. newspapers rushed to cite his death as a case in point to spotlight the lack of attention being given to veterans' mental health. A seemingly politically-correct narrative obfuscates all unresolved myths.
#China's January 20 #sanctions against @mikepompeo and 27 other Americans send a message to every politician in the world: Don't use China for political gain, personal or otherwise, and expect impunity. #CGTNFirstVoicebit.ly/39OFLiR
#China-U.S. relationship defines the parameter of 21st century international relationships. But the sanctioned individuals have used their offices to advance their own political and financial interests at the expense of the wellbeing of U.S. foreign policy and public interests.
.@washingtonpost columnist Dana Milbank described the vocation of @AmbJohnBolton, a target of the sanctions: "He makes war." His allegiance to ideological purity trumps all. @mikepompeo, on the other hand, smears #China to keep his name relevant as he eyes higher offices.
.@JoeBiden wants to make America "the leader for good in the world." It's going to be a tall order as divisive policies have shaken the nation's foundations. #CapitolRiot epitomized America's fragility at a time of extreme polarization. #CGTNFirstVoice#Inauguration2021
Despite being considered as leaving in disgrace, #DonaldTrump is still popular in his party. A post #CapitolRiot poll shows Trump still retains 87% of Republicans' approval with 43% support among voters overall post-second-#Impeachment. #Inauguration2021
Degradation of facts and truths has led to more than 400,000 #COVID19 deaths in #America. Conspiracies, promoted by extreme factions in society as well as elements in the Trump administration and sometimes even Trump himself, poisoned public opinion. #Inauguration2021
.@SecPompeo's latest accusation of China committing #genocide in #Xinjiang is another lie to box in #Biden and boost his own fortune in future elections. As the U.S.'s chief diplomat, he has no consideration for the well-being of the country's foreign policy.
From #COVID19 to #genocide, @SecPompeo has spewed unfounded, unsupported and unconscionable lies about #China throughout his tenure as the U.S.'s representative to the world. His allegiance to right-wing ideology and scant regard for truth has damaged the U.S.'s credibility.
If the U.S. really believes genocide is taking place, it is morally obliged to present evidence to the International Court of Justice. Instead, @SecPompeo made the announcement during the final hours of his tenure, leaving no time to present evidence or allow counterarguments.
