One thing that I've been thinking of recently is the definition of a #crypto, #Bitcoin or #altcoin trader.
-What makes a trader; who defines this?
-Is it the wins or losses you gain?
-Is it when you're profitable?
-Is it the time spent in the chair?
-Is it amount of study?

So who defines what a trader is?
Only you can make the call on when you feel adequately comfortable with calling yourself such a thing.
You can absolutley suck at driving & still be called a motorist, yeah?

With the above definition of a trader, there is no mention of whether the person is winning or losing.
You'd *think* that it meant winning, but the general definition isn't exactly defining.

You can be a fully qualified engineer for example, but you may be up to your eyeballs in debt and living hand to mouth each month based on your income.
Would you be a profitable engineer based on this? No.
Are you still considered an engineer? Yes

Think of someone who's been at a place of employment for years, and they get promoted based on this.
Does it mean that they're good based on the time that they've sat in the chair for?

We no doubt know some academics out there who are legendary in their book smarts, but suck in the practicality of things.
Study plays a big part in trading, & without this key step, but mixed with practicality, then book smarts only gets you so far

My Opinion:
A trader in my eyes is someone who is out there grinding away everyday knowing that this is their passion, BUT.... is continually wanting to beat only themselves everyday on a path of continued personal development.

So if you're having a go, fucking it up, taking a loss, celbrating a win, studying your arse off, & continuing to grow - this is it for me.
I'm all for it not, only on my trading journey, but also with you guys too on yours.
