The global death rate from #COVID19 is now only twice the rate of the flu, but... COVID vaccines work better than flu vaccines and COVID drugs work better than flu drugs.

We have around ten vaccines approved for #COVID19, and more coming, including traditional ones which work on the basis of inactivated virions and are more efficient against variants, new drugs (although Pfizer drug will hit production limits if they do not share the formula)...

So we have to pivot to living with #COVID19 and we have what it takes to do it, however, it will take a coordinated effort to accomplish this, new vaccine and drug procurements, new model of care.
