Heard @HMcPhersonMP & @RaquelDancho speak on #CTV this re: protests. I really respect these two women in politics, they’re well spoken, tuned into their constituents & it was the first time I’ve heard them speak on a panel together. Super disappointed though.

Heather & the anchor asked critical questions and made valid points of concern about @CPC_HQ support for the convoy, including taking photos and having lunch with organizers. Instead of acknowledging or condemming this, Raquel towed the party line.

And instead of owning that, of the party owning those actions, the replies were defensive, argumentative and the anchor and other panelist were continually interrupted. This is why we have a problem with conservative parties right now.

With why younger, born and raised conservatives like myself don’t align with current parties. Where is the leadership? The “we fucked up, we will own it, we will change and here is how”. This is why they’re losing their younger and mid-aged base.

Yes the official oppositions job is to be critical of the opposing party. But move beyond the heckling and name calling. Show leadership. Show plans. Show what your party would do differently. Or when wrongdoing, own it. Show us more.
