Just to follow this up, this County and some of it’s small towns are among the lowest vaccination rates in Alberta.

And while this area also claims to be untouched by covid, the statistics don’t lie.

The La Crete Chamber of Commerce sent a bus to #Ottawa to support to #convoytoottawa2022. It arrived 3 days ago from these screenshots taken today, well after it was known the protest was not peaceful or lawful.

The La Crete Chamber often posts things like this; encouraging economic disruption, disrespect to law enforcement and many posts are of political opinion vs the nature of business chamber operations, ethics and missions.

They have also shared posts encouraging people to write in a non-compliance vote of the Prime Minister to the Governor General, which is something that is democratically illegitimate.

There was also a fundraiser attached to this trip, referenced in a video posted to the La Crete Chamber’s timeline where money was being sent to someone on the ground in #ottawa and would also support there efforts upon arrival.

It should again be noted that there are some very well known businesses/franchises are members of the La Crete Chamber. And by signing up to be a member, they are also members of the provincial and federal chamber organizations as per their membership agreement.

I am not expert in Chambers of Commerce, and while I know they do advocacy work, I imagine there is a code of conduct for funding/supporting illegal activity (well I hope). @albertachambers and @CdnChamberofCom - we will await your comment.
