People buy puppies because of stupid USA trend of pets. That they watch 24x7x365 on shows

Most pets in India are in horrible condition, plus the climatic conditions doesn't suit them
Average population density of USA = 34 per sqkm
Average population density of India = 423 per sqkm

It makes sense for US population living in an enormous area of 9.8 million sqkm to have pets for companionship or security.
Furthermore, most dog/cat breeds taken as pets in India are not native to India & thus climatic & weather conditions are not suitable for them.

In addition to that, people wanted a dog who looked good or as per their liking so they crossbred as much as possible. Image
