#Russia's disinfo troops have just made a very large mistake: their mask slipped. In an effort to denounce the Heroes of Snake Island, they also mention "Avenger of the air" - but that does not exist! It's probably a future psyop that they thought already came out. #UkraineWar

Look at the third picture - the whole article is just: 1. a headline saying Snake Island and Avenger of the air are fake 2. A picture of Snake Island 3. Some unrelated captions and an unrelated paragraph. That is ALL. There's no content, just a headline so it shows up in Google.

Of course the Heroes of Snake Island do exist. Here's a piece of real reporting that shows they do, including source footage - but "Heroes of Snake Island is fake news" shows up on the first page of Google results for "Heroes of Snake Island". #UkraineWar

What does NOT exist is "Avenger of the sky". It's a headline fully fabricated by #Russia. This shows how shoddily made their psyop is. They're not paying enough to get smart people on the job, so they fumble and trip over their own feet, like here. #UkraineWar

#Russia doesn't even have believable twitter troops. They've all been created in 2020 or after. My search for whether Snake Island was real started after reading this obviously #disinfo tweet from a Russian disinfo troop. Wow, your profile suuuure looks believable, Vlad.

So we have an account created in March 2020 (I've seen a few before, I wish I had taken screenshots). The start of the pandemic. This tells me that Russia was not let in on the pandemic by the Chinese, but they soon figured out what was going on.

Now, those bots - most likely meant for another purpose, like supporting Trump's re-election, posting about Jan 6, racist tweets during the BLM riots, etc - are now posting about Ukraine.

Question to #hackers out there: 1. Can the stock footage used by this bot and other bots be identified, and can we identify where it was bought? 2. Can these websites tell us what other stock footage that account bought, so we have an insight to what they're planning?

Notice the missing "the" in one of this bot's messages. It's an artifact of a person who speaks an Eastern European language translating to English in their head, rather than thinking in English, which requires more fluency. This #Russia #disinfo troop is not being paid well.

If we know what stock footage is being used, we can find the other bots. This means we'll know what they are posting about, and what #disinfo campaigns they are looking to launch. Until then those accounts are buried.
