Claim: Several tweeteratis shared images where people can be seen burying dead bodies. Handles claim those images from Balakot attack.
Fact: The images are scenes from an earthquake that hit #Kashmir in 2005 where several lost their lives.

Starting Feb 25, 2022, multiple pro-indian social media users started tweeting on Balakot and posted several videos, texts & photos. We came across an image where it shows several dead bodies being buried. Users claimed it as #BalakotSuccess.
Here is a collage of some of the posts on Twitter with false images and false claims.
We traced the peddled image to 2005. The original images are from October 8, 2005 where an #earthquake hit Azad Kashmir around 08:50:39 Pakistan Standard Time. It was centered in Muzaffarabad killing nearly 30 -40 thousand people as per UNICEF.

Conclusion: The images being circulated on social media platform by some pro Indian handles are not from the aftermath of an airstrike in Balakot but is actually from an #earthquake, centered around Muzaffarabad killing thousands.
