This was a show to “debate” callers’ #Reparations arguments. Not only do the hosts lack historical context on anti-ADOS discrimination codified into American law & the data, they believe we’re only owed $2.1T.
Every rebuttal was based on racist stereotypes & bootstrapper beliefs
A prev caller tried to quote Antonio Moore’s data on the % of Black immigrants in the US prior to 1965 & JT said he was very familiar w/ his work.
He proceeded to responded to almost every caller w/ anti-ADOS rhetoric & repeated how financial literacy is needed.🥴 #Reparations
Found it! Right after saying he was familiar w/ ADOS co-founder AT’s work, he brought up Marcus Garvey…
Later in the show he brought up Farrakhan & how we’re “all Black.”🥴
It seems like JT did this show to regurgitate anti-#Reparations myths that have been debunked yrs ago.
After claiming their criticisms were for all Americans’ bad spending habits, the hosts & a 1st gen immigrant joked about Black folks seeking instant gratification.
“I believe in #Reparations & I hope it comes. & I plan on taking advantage of those who mismanage their assets.”😒
Wow. Terrible typo .. *AM’s work

Key takeaways from @nhannahjones most recent event w/ @angela_rye:
a) “I’ve been studying this for 20 years”
b) “I don’t believe we’ll ever get justice in this country”
c) “I’m a bad b*tch”
In addition to her continued lifting & usage of Yvette Carnell’s political talking points & reactionary commentary, she kept referring to slaves as “Black people” & asserted that anti-Blackness & plunder is a “global fight.”

The Q&A was limited due to time constraints. This gentlemen’s question was on what’s great for Black folks in the U.S. (missed his full question)…
@nhannahjones replied by repeating @BreakingBrown verbiage on the willful participation of African kingdoms in the Transatlantic Slave Trade & their specific selection of slaves. Then immediately attempted to use that specific harm imposed on ADOS to assert our fight in America is global, followed by a sawed off quote from rapper T.I.
"Imagine what the continent would have been like, if they had not extracted 13 million of your strongest, right.. They weren't taking elderly people.. They were taking young people, right. Had you not plundered all of the resources."
"The Caribbean is Black bc of slavery... Anti-Blackness is global, the theft & plundering of Black people is global.. So what we have to do is build the place that we want to see, bc I don't know that it exists."
Rather than highlighting the SCOTUS's account of how the over inclusiveness of #AffirmativeAction essentially lead to banning race-based admissions, & green lighting race-neutral (such as lineage-based) policies moving forward will be the best pathway to legislative remedy in the US.. @nhannahjones & @angela_rye compared Justice Barrette & Justice Jackson's treatment prior to be appointed, & repeated another set of @BreakingBrown talking points..
"To me merit is, you put me in a segregated neighborhood. You put me in a segregated, failing school. And some how I was still able to get into this school, I deserve to be here. It ends when they end it, we don't have the power to end it. They end it, so ask her that... Girl, that made me mad."

This attorney’s intentional conflation continued w/ this post below, where she highlighted an alleged serial scammer who once claimed to be associated w/ BLM.
That alleged scammer has no affiliation w/ ADOS whatsoever. Many have blocked that individual.
@LegalAidNYC Now that this @LegalAidNYC staff attorney @msolurin is attempting to renew years old false associations, she has encouraged others to renew debunked libelous accusations that were made against the ADOS founders & supporters.
This is very telling behavior, especially coming from… https://t.co/R4xqtSXN18 https://t.co/XbMM1xZXCYtwitter.com/i/web/status/1…
Mayor Bass, the colors & style of the graphic you’re using is incorrect, & does not accurately represent #JuneteenthDay.
Juneteenth is an American holiday, celebrating the freedom of enslaved Negr0es in the United States. The official colors have been red, white & blue since… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
Our #JuneteenthDay holiday has been documented for over a century, there’s enough documentaries & articles that provide enough information & historical context for all ages to understand.

“The company was ordered to pay a record $1.7 billion civil penalty and more than $2 billion to customers with 16 million accounts, the #CFPB said in a statement.” #WellsFargo
“"Consumers were illegally assessed fees and interest charges on auto and mortgage loans, had their cars wrongly repossessed, and had payments to auto and mortgage loans misapplied by the bank."” #WellsFargo
Mr. Fletcher worked at the Crown Zellerbach paper mill & Mrs. #CynthiaAnderson was an educator in the St. Tammy Parish school system(& a #GramblingStateUniversity grad).
Mrs. Anderson saw how racial bias was infused in alt teaching methods after desegregation. #BlackHistoryMonth
