"All 10 substantiated preponderance of evidence claims against Agape involved findings of physical abuse. Those 10 substantiated claims are the only ones reported by the state since 2006."

A 1pm hearing today was set to determine the fate of #Agape but reports from @RobertBucklin8 and @Batmanda4ever indicate this has been moved to Monday morning. Will update as I learn more.

Unfortunately, the #children held at #Agape will remain there until Monday at the earliest. While I'm hopeful this is the end for this #troubledteenindustry program, I worry this judge will allow the facility to continue to operate.

Judge David Munton signed the order delaying the shutdown of #Agape in #Missouri. He is a longtime member of Main Street Baptist Church in nearby Greenfield, where he serves as worship leader.

Agape is affiliated with the #Baptist church, too.

Judge Munson sent #CedarCounty Sheriff James “Jimbob” McCrary to #Agape today to investigate the claims made by @AGEricSchmitt in his injunction.

KCS reports that McCrary and his office’s links to #AgapeBoardingSchool are "well documented."

Julio Sandoval, former dean of #Agape, owns Safe Sound Secure Youth Ministries, a #teentransport company that has also employed Deputy Graves.

Last year @AGEricSchmitt’s Office recommended 22 #Agape staffers be charged with 65 felony counts involving 36 children. #CedarCounty Prosecuting Attorney Ty Gaither, with *SOLE DISCRETION,* filed only 13 lower-level counts against 5 staffers.

@freep found that “a young patient was bitten, choked and taunted to kill herself," at a now-closed Detroit #troubledteenindustry facility that housed youth “who might otherwise end up in juvenile detention.”

We might not call it #incarceration but the #tti *IS* carceral.
In the #juvenilejustice system, things aren't any better. Youth in #Texas spend all but 30 minutes in #isolation and have resorted to using water bottles as toilets because there aren't enough staff to take them out of their cells. Texas' #childwelfare system is in shambles, too
