LinkedIn and its affiliates have been quietly using your personal data and content you create on LinkedIn to train its Generative AI (GenAI) models by a default opt-in consent setting.
This includes the content you create or interact with (such as posts and articles), your use of generative AI features (e.g., AI models used to create content), how often you use the platform, your language preferences, and any feedback you've provided to LinkedIn.
In a few simple steps, you can easily opt out of this setting.
An #TwitterX handle called @crazyashfan describes himself as a ‘photo &video manipulation artist’. But what he does is no art. He finds pornographic content & then using #AI manipulates them to show Indian actresses’ faces instead of original adult stars’
The X handle which has 39 posts include morphed AI-generated videos of #AliaBhatt , #KiaraAdvani , #Kajol , #DeepikaPadukone and many other #Bollywood actresses performing explicit sexual acts.
Just few days ago female students at high school in US found out male students made deepfakes of them using AI & shared it on group chats.While investigation is still ongoing what it proved is all it takes is a phone&an AI tool to generate deepfakes & it’s a dangerous territory
The year 2022 has seen 75 shutdowns till the publication of this report. The previous decade has witnessed an exponential increase in internet shutdowns in India with a total count of 690, out of which 110 had been implemented in the year 2021.
The negative impact of the same cannot be measured in monetary terms alone, but through focusing on the flagrant infringement of fundamental rights, along with restricted access to essential services, bringing the lives of millions across the nation to a virtual standstill.
In the year 2022 Indian government snapped internet service across various states 75 times.
81.3% of restrictions were placed upon mobile internet services and for 13.3% no information was available.
While 5.3% restrictions were both for broadband and mobile internet services.
This Report is a continuation of SFLC.in’s efforts against arbitrary internet shutdowns. In addition to understanding the law which sanctions internet shutdowns and the issues which arise within it.
