1/ 🧵 @bcndp @BCNDPCaucus @Dave_Eby BC’s youth & upcoming voters are listening & taking notes.

This powerful letter from a 15-year old to their MLA today reflects that. Now, it’s your turn to listen & take notes⬇️
2/ “Around the world, we have seen democracy under attack, followed by renewed vows to defend it. Threats to democracy have infiltrated the west too, a place perceived on the world stage as a safe haven for democratic principles.”
3/ “In B.C, the recent decision to disqualify Anjali Appadurai is evidence that the NDP gov’t does not support true democratic processes. Hamish Telford, a political scientist at University of Fraser Valley, raised important questions on this topic regarding the leadership race.”
4/ “ ‘Did Ms. Appadurai have the opportunity to really defend herself? Was due process followed? What was the methodology of the audit that led to the conclusion that there were a lot of fraudulent new members in the party?’ ”
5/ “Appadurai energized a young, progressive base, concerned about climate change & other major issues that the current Premier failed countless times to enact meaningful legislation upon. However, the BCNDP disqualified her candidacy instead of ensuring a fair leadership race.”
6/ “Thousands of new members signed up after being inspired by her new ideas, something that surely should not have resulted in her unjust disqualification. This is truly a sad day for democracy in BC, as grassroots members will no longer be able to choose their new leader.”
7/ “Appadurai said, ‘The party had a choice. Let all the members of the party, new and old, choose the next leader and risk having a climate champion in the Premier seat, or take this undemocratic approach and disqualify the candidate.’ “
8/ “Yet, still, the entirety of the NDP caucus turned a blind eye as their party censored a young, refreshing voice. David Eby & his NDP has successfully silenced thousands of new members, disqualified his only challenger & has sidelined democracy to get to the Premier's office.”
9/ “Eby’s Premiership will forever be tainted by this appalling decision, coming at a time when his challenger, a respected climate activist, was growing in popularity among NDP voters and of course, threatening the status quo of the party.”
10/ “Appadurai stated that disqualification was the ‘undemocratic nuclear option’ & also that Elizabeth Cull’s report supported a ‘predetermined conclusion,’ & warned that this will forever follow the new administration & alienate the voter base.”
11/ “As a 15 year old, Appadurai’s campaign deeply resonated with me, specifically her commitment to fighting the threats we face, especially climate change. A remarkable number of other BC’rs were also inspired, and sparked by her activism, joined her campaign in mass numbers.”
12/ “The BCNDP has now silenced those voices, tossed aside due process & has become overtly corrupt in preventing meaningful change. As my MLA, I ask that you not sit idly by as your party disqualifies a young, female climate activist & inches closer to authoritarian principles.”
13/ “Thank you for taking the time to read this letter, and I sincerely look forward to your response.”

Like so many, my family h/b impacted by nationwide PH negligence. So, after surviving a (mostly) maskless flight, I’m spending precious time w/loved one.
Thx for reading my Covid19 research investigations. Don’t know when I’ll return, so here’s descending order recap⬇️

PHAC’s Covid19 Immunity Task Force Sept19/22 seminar w/BCCDC’s Krajden as panelist, speaking in GBD ideological terms i.e:“need to return to normalcy,” “draconian”measures like “lockdowns” harm society, exposure to viruses necessary to build immunity…Thread & transcript ⬇️

Btw-All Krajden’s GBD talking points above are unquestioningly published in this 9th edition of CITF’s “Research Results & Implications seminar” even though it appears that there’s no cited research data to substantiate his words. covid19immunitytaskforce.ca/wp-content/upl…

1/🧵 Warning!⚠️
This Sept/19/22 CTIF Research seminar:“The Eighth Wave-Challenges & Predictions for an Uncertain Future,” contains GBD terminology & questionable advice from 1 panelist which would just be outrageous if it wasn’t so dangerous. Guess who⬇️ Credentials of CITF Seminar Panelists: David Buckeridge, MD
2/ Yep, Mel Krajden.
And pls remember while reading that the CITF’s mandate is to “catalyze, support, fund & harmonize knowledge on SARS-COV-2 immunity for..decision-makers to inform their efforts to protect Cdns & minimize the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.”#bcpoli #canpoli Photo of Covid19 Immunity Task Force Mandate: “Catalyze, s

Ahead of #DrHenry & @adriandix's Fall "respiratory viruses" pressor, pls note @GovCanHealth CITF-funded nation-wide studies conclude:

1) "Omicron is mild" is dangerous myth; 10s of 1000s of Cdns hosp in serious cond & 1000s died, as many as in 2 preceding waves. #bcpoli 1/🧵
2) Omicron wave caused unprecedented rise in Cdn infection-acquired seroprevalence

3) Re: @stats_canada <45 experienced high excess mortality.

4) In data derived largely from blood donors, highest levels of seropositivity due to infection were in young adults (17-24) 2/
5) Although kids aren't incl in most Cdn serosurveys, residual sera surveys from Man, Que & BC reported high infection rates. #bced

6) Young people at-risk b/c:

- Front-line service jobs

1/🧵So, how widespread is the national support of BC’s population studies? Or perhaps a better question is who in BC’s research field has most influence & clout at national level? Well, there’s 1 name on top of that list & that’s Mel Krajden - 1 of BC’s most prolific co-authors.
2/ A brief recap ...
On Mar1st/21, when #DrHenry announced that BC was extending intervals from 3-16 wks, Chief Science Advisor, Mona Nemer, said it basically amounted to “a population level experiment” & “that proper clinical trials” s/b conducted 1st. cbc.ca/news/politics/…
3/ On Mar2/21, Dr.Henry called the stmt “an unfortunate comment", saying that Nemer “was not involved in the evaluation that led B.C. to make a decision tailored to its current case level.” She doubled down & insisted it was based on science & data.#bcpoli cbc.ca/news/canada/br…

1/🧵 Hello @KasariGovender? How is this just or equitable? This is the diabolical result of “personal choice” AKA “focused protection.” @CDCofBC: “People w/certain health conditions may choose to isolate completely during pandemic - a practice called protective self-separation.”
2/ con’t “This is personal choice... Staying home & not seeing people can make you feel lonely & isolated. You’ll need to consider your mental & emotional health if you decide to practice protective self-separation & think about ways to stay connected…”bccdc.ca/health-info/di…
3/ So basically, according to @CDCofBC if you have health conditions, you better steer clear of Covid b/c even your gov’t confirms that you’re at risk for severe outcome. But you’re completely on your own while majority of BC public will be living it up like it’s 2019! #bcpoli
