4/5 Many of the factors that influence adult hippocampal neurogenesis ALSO influence the #GutMicrobiome! For some of these, the gut microbiome has been shown to directly contribute to how this factor influences hippocampal neurogenesis!

5/5 Therefore the #GutMicrobiota is a potential novel therapeutic target to ameliorate #HippocampalNeurogenesis dysfunction, which could provide crucial treatment options for improving cognition and mood in brain disorders.
