Make a voting plan. Find your polling place, and figure out what id you may need beforehand. Return your mail-in ballot at a drop-box. This close to election day, the post office may not be able to get your ballot in in time. @derektisler@BrennanCenter
What can we do if states refuse to certify the vote, asks @Mannyotiko ? @derektisler says election officials are required to do so.
California Secretary of State Dr. Shirley Weber assures us: "We are committed to ensuring that every vote in California will count." @CASOSVote
If you take your ballot to the post office or in a mailbox, make sure your ballot is postmarked on or before 8 pm on election night. Track the status of your ballot: sos.ca.gov/elections/ball…
Everyone in California gets a vote by mail ballot. You don't even need a stamp, says Dr. Weber @CASOSVote
There are election deniers. "I have been sued a large number of times. But all of them have failed. There was no 'there' there. There was no proof." Dr. Shirley Weber, @CASOSVote
Our voting places are safe. "We have worked hard to make sure that those who are working at our polls also are safe," says Dr. Weber, noting that her mother was a poll worker for many years.
Everyone in California can vote, including those in jail and ex-offenders, says Dr. Weber, @CASOSVote High school workers can work the polls for school credits.
