Thanks to efforts of partners & collaborative approach, the process for this #Ebola vaccine trial was accelerated - with speedy trial protocol design, regulatory and ethical processes, forming & training research teams so that the trial is conducted as per international standards
Since the #Ebola outbreak was declared on 20 September, #Uganda has recorded a total of 142 confirmed cases and 55 confirmed deaths in nine districts, as of 7 December. There have been no new cases reported since 27 November bit.ly/3FBY2Rw
Contacts of recently confirmed #Ebola cases will be invited to participate in the vaccine trial, which is designed to be implemented using a ring vaccination design bit.ly/3FBY2Rw
