According to @SaleemKhanSafi, PAK military leadership has decided that all direct #negotiations with #TTP are over. If any kind of negotiation take place, it will be with the AFG Taliban (IEA).
The new policy will be approved by the political leadership in the NSC of the Cabinet.
"The decision was made to deal with those who spread terror inside PAK, with iron hands."
Embolded by the AFG Taliban's victory, the TTP increased the tempo of violence in Pakistan.
In 2022, hundreds of PAK security forces were killed in TTP attacks, from Waziristan to Islamabad.
Ex-TTP spokesman reacted:
"It is a good news for TTP that the drama called direct negotiations has ended. Mujahideen have got used to operations/actions&now they fight with fun. TTP is present from ISB to Waziristan. Deal with them yourself&don't complain to others like a child."
TTP reaction (unofficial):
"The formal termination of the negotiations by PAK govt. is proof that it wanted to achieve other military& political objectives under the guise of negotiations. Even after losing our dearest leader, we did not lose our patience& stick to the ceasefire.
...We cannot be intimidated by operations, nor can we be suppressed by any political pressure. We (TTP) will continue our struggle, with support of our own people, from inside of our country (PAK), for the establishment of an Islamic system, according to our vision, God willing."

#Hostage_situation in #Bannu:
Armed militants of unknown group stormed an installation of the Counter-Terrorism Department (#CTD) of #Pakistan in Bannu, released dozens of prisoners and took 9 PAK security forces, including Major Khorshid Akram (as militants claim) hostages...
...In an unverified video, they claimed that they are 35 people and asking PAK Army to provide them safe #air_transport to #AFG (in ten minutes), in exchange for the release of all hostages. They warned to kill all 9 hostages& will fight till death, if their #demand was rejected.
Note:
While it is early to comment, but the wording of the hostage takers in Bannu (using respectful words to PAK army), their demand (to be airlifted to AFG)& the overall scene, seems to be 'staged'...a #victimization drama of PAK& to prove that AFG is safe haven for terrorists.
#Taliban's spokesman for the Ministry of Public Works:
"Unfortunately, a trailer truck spun out in #Salang, which caught fire& no one can enter the tunnel from the north side. Of course, Salang maintenance personnel have entered the entrance from the south side.
Details later..."

A local journalist:
"Fighting between AFG & PAK border forces started in 'Shiro Oba' area, in Spin Boldak-Chaman crossing point (on #Durand_Line), in Kandahar Province.
The #clash started when AFG forces were building new check posts in the area & Pakistani side prevented them."
The #Taliban confirmed clashes in Spin Boldak of Kandahar, but didn't provide details about the reason& casualties.
There are conflicting news about the status of the crossing point. Some sources said it was closed, others reporting about reopening of the gate.
