for prescribers major problem is that though DEA have cut down some restrictions & opened up prescribing it still carries a high amount of risk for future DEA involvement
when the federal gov says U can prescribe something but still have to jump through hoops it establishes this is dangerous to handle
even if U reduce restrictions in terms of words on paper; if you don't reduce the legal risk to prescribers, the change isn't going to change much
Sure, the DEA may say U can now prescribe bupe to ur patients at ur addiction treatment center; but if it also means more future visits from the DEA; then, for most prescribers, it's a big pass
one of those things disability determinations fail to understand is how a disability can turn other facets of ur life into crap
e.g. my immune system sucks, I catch everything that passes by me
if a friend or family or stranger i meet gets sick I inevitably get sick too😢
At the moment I'm the main source for care & support for my grandma, so I am constantly putting myself in places to get myself sick, hospitals for example.
so i feel like since November i'm just sick with something all the time, colds, viruses, infections, etc
Now is there a problem with Genz & tiktokers self-diagnosing anxiety disorders, yes, some social contagion going on
But that doesn't invalidate the millions of Americans with well-documented, officially diagnosed anxiety disorders as having those disorders control their lives
I gotta go try to lay down now
this is making me much too angry
BTW, DEA is saying this will only apply to first time visits, that is garbage🗑️
We all know how this game is played, set a precedent & dare folks to cross the line.
line is now every visit needs a physical appointment for a prescription, the dare is to not do it every time
Guess what? Physicians aren't that stupid,
we all know what this means & it will mean fewer patients get to see a doctor & more abandoned patients not understanding how a cruel society can chuck them out like yesterday's garbage
