2/ Operational situation update/ #russian_invasion in #Ukraine on March 8, 2023
The situation is better and better each day for #Ukraine (for the last 3 days) around #Bakhmut!
good news about the global area too.
let's dive in :

3/ "In the Bakhmut direction, the opponent, despite significant losses, continues to storm the city of Bakhmut. He also led unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of #Berhívka (fck yeah!), #DubovoVasylivka #OrihovoVasilivka, #Bogdanívka, #Ivanívske and #Klishchiyvika.

4/ Over the past 24 hours, only near #OrihovoVasilívka, the enemy has carried out more than 30 unsuccessful attacks!!. Fired from artillery areas of the settlements of Orihovo-Vasilívka, Dubovo-Vasilivka, Bakhmut, Bogdanivka, #Stupočki, Baptiste, #AlexanderShultine, #Dilíivka etc

5/ back to Bakhmut. the fact that Ru are still in #Yahidne gives us a good idea of their strong defensive line, and they are still trying to go to Bohdanivka, but to fight near #Berkhivka clearly indicates they are out of previous positions and the momentum is real.
Ukr dynamic!

6/ same thing for the road south of #Ivaniske (M-03) LOCS- and small forest there because 2days in a row, gen staff mentioning area of #Klishchiivka
Also no more attack towards #ChassivYar Ru are out of the outskirts too.
now #UAarmy is opening the area of security & moving

7/ forward in diff areas when they can, indicating they are refusing to simply submit themselves to a pure "defense" (meat grinding but going backward) strategy.
They might lose more men in the process but they avoid other problems and sending strong statement there.

8/ "perfect" scenario would be to push Russians all the way back down to the valley and beyond the river #Bakhmutovka in order to have a "decent" & coherent line of defense, bc it "cost" actually a lots of live (i've explained all this for past couple months) to be surrounded

9/ by a 270° line of fires from the enemy.
so the ideal again would be to gain at least some important grounds around the city, and then Ru would be in deep trouble. and the morale would sink.
but, do Ukr have enough materials/shells & human ressources for such a project...? IDK

10/ last report from Gen staff

11/ last report from Hayday regarding #Luhansk
intense fighting there too. but Ukr are resisting...

12/ Ru have supposedly captured #Vesele near #Avdiivka & are trying to improve their position there. huge battle r going on there too for weeks. #Russians have engaged significant forces in that area but we have "less" attention because it is not under #Wagner communication plan.

13/ so this is the area we are talking about and Ru allegedly gain in the direction of north #Avdiivka
notice also that Ru are also going toward #Sjeverne
