Hi All,

I've recently completed a free online course on leadership from Coursera. Its course curriculum has been designed by IIM-A!

Though I came to know about various aspects of leadership through this course, I still perceive it as a completely different ballgame altogether.

Instead of what management experts and leadership gurus feel—no I'm not saying they are completely wrong—I've just a different way of seeing things.

My perspective on leadership is slightly different.

If you've read this post so far, please bear with me for a minute or two to clarify my viewpoints on leadership.

For your help, I'll provide my perspective in bullet points so that you can understand it better.

5) Leadership doesn't entail that "YOU HAVE TO LEAD FROM THE FRONT! You can still be a leader even if you play a supervisory role and help your team succeed in difficult times without coming out in the open. #Leadership #Leader #Politics #Lead #Inspire

4) The crux of Leadership is LEAD. It may mean to guide or help move forward. But in my dictionary, LEAD means L-Love E-Enjoyment A-Amicable D-Doer.
If you r amicable & able to do your task successfully while making your peers feel confident & happy, mark my words—you're a leader

3) A leader needs not be someone who follows leadership quotes or thought processes. A leader is someone who is a doer. They should have the ability to think out of the box and bring innovation to what they do.

2) A leader should not ask people to work with a rule of thumb. They need to listen to others' thoughts and assimilate them while taking any important decisions in future.

A leader should believe in spreading love and enjoyment or happiness among his subordinates and peers. Even competitors need to fill proud of such a leader who brings out the best in everyone through positive motivation.

1) Last but not least, I believe everyone is a born leader. However, not everyone gets the opportunity to prove their leadership abilities. #Love #Kindness #Empathy

No matter how hard the situation goes, a leader can never get upset because without the essence of 'love' and 'enjoyment' (and in some cases, even excitement as well) a leader may not be able to lead (read support) his or her team to their full potential. #Team #cooperation

Even if you are supporting your team from backend and offering full support while staying away from attention and limelight, you're still a great leader.

Your team knows what can you do for them, literally—anytime or every time. Period. #Great #Podcast #selfhelp #Voicesearch
