What is fascinating here is that you say "It seems like everyone is so modern and open minded" & "I will not fight your battles". Are these values offensive to you?I looked you up because I was curious about your background. The internet says you are Azerbaijani from Prague. 3/

I have watched your youtube videos & I find that you have done a lot to promote Sri Lanka. Thank you for that. At the same time I am curious as to why you speak for Sri Lanka as a homogeneous cultural entity? You have travelled widely. Yet you act ignorant about attire. 4/

For example most Tamil men don't cover their upper body in temples. Most Sinhalese paddy farmers wear a loin cloth only in a paddy field. Many Sri Lankan men don't wear a shirt in the countryside. Why should anyone call the police for a shirtless dude? 5/

If you actually lived in the Czech Republic, an EU member state, what inspires you to promote a "Moral police" in Sri Lanka?We already have a draconian PTA that we are trying to repeal. Surely, no Sri Lankan trusts the law enforcement authorities to randomly decide punishment.6/

If you are not aware,Sri Lankan police has been accused of harassing & detaining a British tourist for having a tattoo of the Buddha.She was even deported after the detention.Suggesting to call the police for tourists attire is a dangerous path & sorry you are not helping SL.7/

Yet another British tourist was deported from #SriLanka in 2013 for displaying a Buddha tattoo on the arm. Sri Lanka's law enforcement authorities have taken random decisions to decide what is appropriate to punish tourists in the past. This is insane.

In Feb 2020, a woman was arrested in Sri Lanka for wearing a dress with a print of a ships steering wheel. The law enforcement authorities thought it was the Dharmachakra ☸️ which is a Buddhist symbol. SL's constitution has no basis for such an arrest.

While I genuinely appreciate your youtube videos promoting Sri Lanka, I would like to express my concerns for your call for a "moral police" & inciting people to call the police for someone's attire. This is extremely dangerous as we really don't need anymore violence in SL. 10/

You raised attention to a critical topic though. Railway travel in #srilanka is not safe & trying to take selfies on the "footboard" has caused many fatal accidents.This is something authorities should take into account instead of moral police. 11/

The next day the same man had to kneel & apologize.He also had to hold his ears in humiliation to show his shame. As a social media influencer you have a responsibility not to incite hate speech especially in India where partition was sensitive.

The title of your tweet was "This is how Indians support Pakistan in Goa, India". I find this an extremely irresponsible tweet since everyone knows how sensitive this is & it puts this person in danger. Please don't do such things.
