Let me tell you motherfuckers that have never evacuated a MAJOR city during a hurricane. A mini thread for your bitch ass.
There's a huge difference between evacuating a city like Houston (2.4 Million) and Corpus Christi (326K).
When there's that many people on the road, you don't simply get to evacuate.
If you can AFFORD (Yeah, I said it) to evacuate, you need gas or a means of transportation to get to one of the buses headed out/shelters.
That's only if you you're able bodied, and you can get yourself. Are you older, mentally or physically disabled? Do you have pets?
YOU'RE PETS AREN'T WELCOME AT MOST SHELTERS FYI. Did your judgemental ass know that? Bye bye 🐱🦊🐹🐰🐵
But back to evacuating...have you ever evacuated from a major city before? I'm talking a milli plus...it's not that easy.
We TRIED to evacuate ahead of Hurricane Rita...which was supposed to be a direct hit to Houston shortly after Katrina. Look I up...
it* Anyway, I got to sit on a freeway for 23 hours. 23 HOURS!!!!
23 hours to get from Houston to San Antonio, where we evacuated. It usually takes 3-4.
Let me say this, @SylvesterTurner saved a lot of people by not calling for a major evacuation. This is the freeway I spent 23 hours on 
That water filled up in less than 8 hours. Families would have drowned in their cars by trying to all leave at once.
It's easy to talk that shit when you've never been in this situation. Hurricanes are UNPREDICTABLE. They also spawn tornadoes.
Houston has seen more than a dozen in the last 48 hrs.
I know I'm not gonna change many minds, but I hope that I have provided a little bit of perspective from someone that is actually here.
If you're not trying to be a part of the relief efforts, shut your bitch ass up, and find a different city to talk about.
