/ I was reading this article by @muneeb on decentralization as the next wave of computing. medium.com/@muneeb/the-ne… exchanges will be decentralized. One particular point got my attention.
/ "Crypto economy will reshape the entire lifecycle of tech companies. Currently, they get their start on Sand Hill Road and end up on Wall St. Soon, they’d start anywhere and end up on token exchanges." But, that's not all...
/ Those exchanges are also being decentralized. The rise of the decentralized exchange (DEX) is upon us. So, the cloud is getting a new resident. DEX's and their Digital Assets. I think for now I'll call this the Digital Asset Cloud (DAC).
/ Like Muneeb, I am really excited and optimistic about this new wave of computing. Blockchains are a major evolution of the internet and databases with exponential attributes built into mix.
/ Blockchain is the evolution of the internet itself, not Cloud Computing, Cloud has been a powerful stepping stone. We need the cloud to be able to effectively deploy blockchains. But, we don't necessarily need the centralized cloud. That will further commoditize.
/ With the rise of IPFS + Blockchain databases we are seeing truly decentralized applications (dAPPs) come to life as well! For example, DTube on STEEM and IPFS steemit.com/video/@heimind…
/ These decentralized apps and the blockchains that are their databases of record are some of the worlds most interesting Cloud Native Applications (by my definition of Cloud Native anyway).
