Petitioners: Proof. Proof. Proof. Citing references. Blah. Aadhaar is not proportionate.

SC: Can you people show Aadhaar is proportionate?

AG: Random nonsense.

CEO-UIDAI: Promo presentation.

AG: Bola na proportionate hai? SC can't interfere with high level govt decision. Bas.
I mean seriously. The govt and UIDAI appear to think that SC be like masses. You tell it what is right and your word is fact. No evidence needed.

Sick thing is, so far no judge has called bullshit on it.
Petitioners: Constitution. Reports of exclusion. Rights, Choice, blah.

SC: Correct. What do you people have to say?

AG: Koi exclusion nahi hai. We have told people to not exclude.
Petitioners: Privacy. Puttaswamy judgment.

SC: Yes. Your turn AG.

AG: Aadhaar is designed for privacy only.

SC: Erm...

AG: Govt or people didn't know privacy was a right before judgment, so ok.
SC has been turned into a freaking comedy show by the AG.

Therefore game over for soaps and carnivorous plants buying online. Come home & I'll sell locally. 20 lakh sales out of question, so no GST.
I hid behind my lack of comprehension for long, because it didn't make sense to register for GST if you sell even a single thing online.

Attorney General K.K Venugopal commences his submissions. Repeats that Article 110(1)(g) is a standalone provision. There can be a bill that does not relate to 110(1)(a)-(g) but is still covered independently under 110(1)(g)
AG: Therefore the Aadhaar bill did not have to to be passed by the Rajya Sabha. RS could only make recommendations.

RD: What sort of control does UIDAI have over RE? Fair and reasonable safeguard under Article 21.
RD: Data under REs is segregated. There's no way to aggregate that data as there are over 300 REs.
J. Sikri: what about an individual RE collecting data?
RD: lets take the example of Vodafone. what will vodafone do with the authentication data? They can't track any individual.

#Aadhaar hearing continues. Attorney General KK Venugopal commences his arguments for the Union Govt.

He announces the batting line up ...says he will be followed by Rakesh Dwivedi (UIDAI), Jayant Bhushan (RBI) Sr advs and Gopal sankaranarayan appearing for intervenors.
Even as he laments that petitioners have taken almost 19 days, promises to keep the Union arguments as brief as possible.
Says Aadhaar is not an isolated measure but follows a series of measures put in place to solve the problems that Aadhaar solves.

Says Aadhaar is a serious effort..all alternatives such as smart cards were considered and then decisions taken.
