TWEET STORM INCOMING...

It's been about 2 and a half years since I was cast as Mikazuki in Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans (#GundamIBO). Tonight, the last episode of the show aired on US television.
I can't express how much it means to me to have been able to take this journey, but I'll do my best. I never really considered myself an "anime fan" in general, but I watched Toonami every day after school as a kid, and Gundam Wing was my absolute favorite.
Picture 7th grade Kyle, going to school on a regular day, in full Gundam pilot costume. That actually happened. Had I known then I would have the chance to portray a Gundam pilot professionally almost two decades later, I'd probably have peed those exceedingly tight pants.
This role was also several "firsts" for me: first lead role in an animated series, first time something I worked on aired on a cable network, first time working on a franchise older than myself, and probably other firsts I'm forgetting.
I'm incredibly grateful to have had this opportunity.

Thank you to all the decision makers at Bang Zoom and Sunrise who took a chance on a no-name newcomer to the dubbing world. Thank you to all the fans that have shown so much support, for me, for Mika, and for the show.
Thank you to my castmates and directors for everything you did to bring this show to life and make it special. Thank you all. And while this journey has come to an end, here's to many more to come that will be every bit as meaningful.
I think it's safe to lower your flags now, Orphans. Much love <3
