I'm sorry to swear. Truly I am. But how the hell is power for Parliament "unprecedented"? Who else do those constitutional fruit loops think should wield it? Is it a matter for the personal whim of the unelected leader of a minority Government?
Also, as I'm warming up, can we stop this po-faced 'not Brexiting will be bad for democracy' crap. What was bad for democracy was Brexiters throwing the intellectual furniture of the enlightenment on their bonfire of hatred and lies. Everything since is just damage limitation.
If Nissan quits Sunderland - and the noises off are that it will - how will automotive workers feel about the charade of democracy that operated to strip them of their livelihoods?
Who of those shaking their heads and muttering of protecting trust in democracy will catch the coach to Sunderland to say: "Yeah, you were lied to in the referendum campaign about your jobs. But at least your democracy functions"? It's pious, self-serving, gutless, nonsense.
