Things just went a bit too crazy since Awani published the story of Dawn Raid. Dah ada yg ngaku circle og tu org ni yg nak mintak jumpa.

I think I need to share some points bout this project to clarify and share our little journey since 2013.

We first came across the story in one of the chapters in A Doctor In the House(Tun M's memoir). One of the first few I spoke to was Auntie @fatibee.

*- Before anyone got too excited, this operation wasn't planned by Tun M. He admitted it when we interviewed him during our R&D.

We first approached FINAS, but wasn't even considered.

Off we went to MDeC. When we pitched it the first time to the panels consisting of 3panelist including head of a major cinema chain, we got 2 out or 3votes.

Guess the 1 who voted against us? Head of Cinema Chain.

For the next few rounds, we kept getting "the story not commercial enough". On our final presentation, it reached the point where we had to say "if money is all we consider here, then we shouldn't be here at all coz most of local commercial films are not making any money".

During R&D, we were turned down by most related organisations ie Authorities, GLCs. Emails, by-hand letters, gatecrashes we simply turn down, ignored or brushed-off.

We were lucky that most of the individuals involved in the event supported our effort.

Once we completed our Previz, a lot of vultures started seeing the value in using the project as a vehicle. Some crazy offers being thrown at us, with crazy numbers. Of course with kickbacks & terms to omit out certain names of out of the picture. We got tempted, but we resisted.

Now, the reason I want to share this is because the new kinda of vultures circling us again. Same offer, same purpose, only different side.

Please, if u wanna support, let it be because this is the kinda story we want to share with the nation. Not for your own political gain.
