🚨FIRST-EVER: Geological Survey of India (GSI) has discovered lithium for the first time in Reasi district of Jammu & Kashmir (UT). This is the first significant mineral discovery in India, as previously only a small reserve had been discovered in Karnataka.
"Geological Survey of India for the first time established Lithium inferred resources (G3) of 5.9 million tonnes in the Salal-Haimana area of the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir," the Ministry of Mines said on Thursday.

Bengaluru: In yet another brutal incident, a woman driver from Bengaluru mistakenly pressed ‘accelerator’ instead of brake. The incident reportedly took place on 28 january.
Karnataka Police have arrested the woman, who mowed down a bike rider in Bengaluru with her car.
During the investigation, the accused woman told police that she applied the accelerator instead of the brakes, which cost a life, police said on Wednesday.
As per reports, the car driver has been identified as Shubha, a middle-aged woman from Bengaluru.
